  1. I haven't tried anything else, but I get perfect results from BMF. I wouldn't switch on a bet.
  2. Very nicely done. I like it a lot. Most trucks don't get that age without a few stickers though.
  3. That looks terrific. People often say that our hobby may be dying, and it certainly has been looking that way, but then a technology like this comes along and opens a whole new door. Outstanding work.
  4. Try a wire hanger. I have used them before in such situations. A pair of linemans pliers are recommended.
  5. Your two TROG examples seem to have been narrowed as well. I was thinking of doing this with the Revell '29 roadster, and I'm really wondering how much to narrow it.
  6. Very nice. I would do the same borderline irreverant mods to this kit. I like it quite a lot.
  7. Well it's a start. Pretty sure the 440 isn't gonna do the job any longer. I'm going to include extended landing gear for this one for the ease of storage and display. Painting this will be different then pretty much everything I have done. Assemble everything, spray silver, mask, spray other colors, weather and detail as necessary. It will be a curbside. No interior or underhood detail.
  8. Well I've been in need of a slump buster for a while. This build is now on the bench and it's in full swing. It's based on the AMT '71 Charger. Lots of ideas. Stay tuned.
  9. Gotcha. Then I would dirty up the engine block really well. So that the color doesn't pop much and grab your eye.
  10. Normally I'm the kind of guy to go darker with the wheels, but the idea of a sand color on the wheels sticks in my head. It compliments the green and doesn't clash with anything else, but if it was me, I'd paint the engine to match. I'll be watching.
  11. I've done a couple of these type and I don't normally revisit a vehicle genre once I've done it, but I've a couple ideas and I'm in desparate need of a slump buster build. I may throw my hat into the ring here.

I love theme builds! I like this one quite a lot. The decals work great. This is something I'd do myself. Well done.
  13. In that case, any chance of that Barris-esque aardvark snout grill, getting replaced? It's the only blemish on a very attractive automobile. The front of an Avanti or Superbird might help fill in the space between the headlights?
  14. I was just about to post the same thought. It would be a real shame to put an engine cover on it.
  15. With 3D printing in it's infancy, we sort of get that there will be some work to do on our part to make the parts perfect. Ease up man.
  16. Another good one is Claptons accoustic Layla.
  17. I would think the '29 channeled frame would be ideal. Maybe some minor floor board mods. I used it under the '29 RPU and it was near perfect. I use Elmers for mock up.
  18. Really enjoyed this film. I thought all parties did a tremendous job with it. (SPOILERS) I got the usual shoulder punch from my wife when theres a sad ending if I haven't warned her. I'd no idea what happened to Ken Miles, so I couldn't have anyway.
  19. Glen, I'm enjoying the work, but there is no reason to start a new thread for each update. Just add more photos to the original thread. When the moderators see multiple threads for one project, they are gonna combine them to keep things tidy, so you're just making more work for guys that are doing it, unpaid.
  20. Very interesting. Grab a AMT Phantom Vicky and you'll be able to source a modern chassis, suspension and drive train.
  21. Ray, welcome to the forums. We have a great group here.
  22. I don't understand the pegs. Isn't glue enough?
  23. I'd have to get an MPC Cobra kit and bash them.
  24. Same here. I expect it's a cost savings measure.
