  1. Speaking of lost Aurora tools... Anyone else want some of these? I know, the Revell Merc wagon outdoes this one by a mile, but this one still has 51 parts and I'd love to have the figures and accessories again. BTW, the wheels on the firetruck are perfect for medium duty use in 1/25 scale.
  2. Pro street it, with GIANT rear wheel openings!
  3. 37-39 Studebaker Coupe Express gets my vote as one of the most beautiful factory designed pickup trucks ever! Every angle has well thought out details, that scream "Classic!" Even the bed was designed in - not plopped on.
  4. I don't know what it's from, but it sure looks good where you have it!
  5. The 80 is the last one and the one that's been reissued a couple of times. The 79 was the Wheeler Dealer issue, there was no model kit of the 78 M.C., only the promo.
  6. Great weathering! Very convincing.
  7. This kit looks better than I remember. You did a great job on it, I may have to build one stock like that.
  8. No worries, let's move on. Is this a 1/16 scale? It doesn't look like a Monogram or Revell 1/25 scale kit.
  9. Beautiful job! Too bad you lost it. That's why I can't bring myself to leave mine on display somewhere else, I'm afraid of that happening to me too.
  10. Nice car, just watch the strong language. This isn't that kind of forum. Keep showing us your cool builds.
  11. Story states that it was issued a salvage/custom vehicle title when it was finally sold in the late 60s. So to get a title it HAS to have some sort of a VIN.
  12. Oyahuh. Maybe true, but they will dryout and crack. Just look at rubber bumpers from cars of the 80s.
  13. Ooo, IMSA Widebody Mustang I like it! Either that or a futuristic "rust bucket"
  14. "What, it's just a movie?!" (Sarcasm) I'll bet if you were to look at the label on the bouncer for the country where it was made, it would probably be from a faroff place that has no connection to American history and couldn't care less about it. As long as the produced item is sold and makes them money, their conscience is clear. Seems like we've become a society of "If it doesn't affect me, it's not my problem". Sad, but true.
  15. That "blows" And it looks like they painted right over it and boxed it up and STILL didn't notice it! Looks like you weren't the only one who didn't see the defect. Good luck, I hope they will make it right. BTW, I once had an issue with an oop kit. Thinking it was a long shot, I contacted them about replacing the decals. To my surprise, they sent me a new sheet and a letter of apology, so you just never know until you ask.
  16. Oh great, I'm now researching details online so I can start doing my own conversion. I'm following along with you. Just what I need, another project, but this just looks too good to pass up. Thanks a lot!? I always hated the front bumper to the 69 anyway.
  17. Good to see he has the basics down: cut the parts from the trees, scraped the paint before gluing and trimmed the flash from the parts. He's well on his way! Good for him. His builds looked clean too. Let's hope he doesn't lose the fire.
  18. A Pontiac in a Chevy, now that's original! I'll bet it'd be FAST, those Pontiacs were great engines. Looks really cool this way, I like it better than the 4x4.
  19. Looks amazing! Where did you get the roof panel from, or did you make it?
  20. With all that's been said, I'd glue the hood closed and be done with it. Or maybe it's time for the veritable LS swap! ?
  21. My prayers for his full and complete recovery.
  22. I have to agree with her on this one. With so many bouncer styles to choose from, this one seems kinda insensitive. I mean, really, what's the point?
  23. Gazuntheidt!!
  24. Agreed, but I've seen displays where they paint the ceiling dark and direct lighting on the layout. It doesn't take an artist to do that. I do enjoy the talent and effort it takes to make a convincing train layout, though.
