  1. This CAN'T be real - that's hilarious! Don't they ever think of hiring a translator to inform them what these names mean? If they're going to print it English, they should know what it says FIRST!
  2. The name is clever - the art on the otherhand... Ughh.?
  3. Narrow the wheels, add REAL police decals and most of all.... STOP SELLING IT AS THE GOON CAR!!! I'm sick of seeing it in purple and green.
  4. Nope, still out there.... It seems the worst box art comes from artists and layout designers that have no clue about the subject matter and just "wing it" hoping it'll be good enough. It's not!
  5. And I want it for the rest! So when it comes out, I'll trade you. Pro stock chassis for stock annual chassis. Actually, I already have a complete chassis from the Twister Vega, John. If you want to do some tradin'? PM me
  6. Absolutely fun movie, probably one of my favorites. I also think Hooper is great for the same reason. Everybody was having a great time filming it, and it shows! Director Hal Needham was at the top of his game with these two films.
  7. I just looked up IMCDB for the cars used in this movie. There are a LOT of building possibilities if you're a fan of it. Most of these cars are easily available as kits, others are Johans but still findable on Ebay. The two trucks are either scratchbuilds or resin. The movie is fun not only for all the old cars, but because it's a "who's who" of famous comedians from that time period.
  8. Looks like a 63 Impala or 63 Tempest would be a good starting point.
  9. Blame incompetent voters for putting clowns like this in office in this state. We get what we deserve, but some of us are praying that someday sanity will prevail in the "Golden State"
  10. After using my favorite paint remover, I've used mineral spirits, brushed into the cracks and crevices where tough paint won't come out. Let it soak for a little while and use a toothpick or stiff toothbrush to scrub it out.
  11. Looks cool. Take it on any sweet jumps? Yee Haw!!!
  12. I stand corrected, he did some beautiful cars.
  13. That stuff is going to become more valuable in the future to fans, now that Warner Bros pulled all licensing for the show. Stupid PC protesters! And it wasn't even an offensive show.
  14. IDK, it was from the junkyard page of the "Truth About Cars" website. Since he said it was at a pick n pull type of yard - it's long since been crushed.
  15. Christine is a GREAT car movie, and some nice period machinery shows up in it. My favorites are Dennis' 68 Charger and Buddy Ripperton's Camaro. But the "piece de' " is Arnie's immaculate 58 Fury - or Belvedere or whatever it is. It's just perfect!
  16. Welp, that's what is insurance is for. They take the money, they better cough up when disaster strikes! No excuses.
  17. I know family teams like Barris, Titus, Petty, and Force. Please pardon my ignorance, I've heard of Chip, but did his dad build cars too? Or was he a legend in another way?
  18. No, but I hear he'll make you an offer you CAN'T refuse!
  19. I think I read that they were converted to pickups to get around the rationing limitations during WWII. If the car was used for commercial purposes, it would get more ration credits for gas and parts than those that were used just for luxury.
  20. Where did you find reference to the actual truck's colors? I've wanted to build this truck for some time but couldn't find any photos of it in color. Great replica - too bad what happened to the prototype.
  21. I can think of a few off top of my head: Driving Miss Daisy That Thing You Do Untouchables Apollo 13 Remember the Titans - few cool cars. Also, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, World (1962) has lots of cars that are now old and some are classics.
  22. So can anybody tell me if the Dirty Donnie or any newer issues include the A Team grill, flares, or any of its specific custom parts?
  23. Not only are they the LA riverbed - they look like they were filmed in the SAME SECTION of the riverbed!
  24. Find a vinyl repair adhesive or shoo goo. Those are flexible adhesives meant for that type of material.
