  1. The railroad might be impressive, but the distracting ceiling sure isn't. You'd think they would have painted it up to minimize it and focus the eye on the craft.
  2. Love the car and the street machine look, but that sure looks like a 67 to me. (No side marker lights)
  3. Follow this one, it's on the workbench section.
  4. Almost what it costs for an original kit! ?
  5. I was just thinking, what about vinyl upholstery dye in spray cans? It's designed to bond to vinyl permanently. I'm sure it comes in white, but you may have to get it at an auto paint supplier. I don't think Pep Boys or other auto parts places have it in white.
  6. That's a shame, all the missing parts are what make it a camper. Did you at least get the window parts?
  7. This one is next on my list.... Even if it's just the camper parts, I'd be happy. I already have the window van waiting.
  8. Easy guys, spiders DO serve a purpose. Imagine the infestation we'd have if they didn't control all the other bug population! Still, I wouldn't dare walk through that mess, though. Yuck! Not a spider lover, just a pest hater?
  9. Extra nice, makes me wish Revell would reissue these.
  10. When it came to annuals, that never stopped them before. If Buick wanted a promo, AMT would have obliged. Hence we would have had a 70 kit!
  11. Cool, I like it. I was thinking of attempting the same conversion. What did you use for the grille and bumper?
  12. By now she's gotta have more plastic than my model kit collection. Ain't nobody can look THAT good at 70 without help!
  13. Pretty sure there's some nice Torq Thrust IIs in their 68 Shelby too.
  14. Not sure, but aren't they also in the AMT 62 Bel Air kits? Nice wheels for anything 60s!
  15. Those 12" wheels don't stand a chance! Looks cool though. Very well engineered. Scary part is that fuel tank right behind the engine - Can you say "Pinto Express"?
  16. I never have, and I've been bagging my tires in bags for 30 years. I've probably saved my plastic parts because of it, though. I think the baggies are a different type of plastic.
  17. Wow guys, I thought I had a lot of parts! I used to store my parts into bins like these, it worked for me. When I went into a modelling hiatus, I put the parts into Ziploc bags to keep them separated and then put the baggies in a larger box to store. Now that I'm back, they're still in that large box, not as convenient as the bins, but at least I still have them sorted. Call me OCD, but I enjoy sorting through new parts boxes and separating ALL the pieces into the bins. To me, it's therapeutic and I like knowing what parts I have. I also enjoy finding parts for rare or desirable kits. Makes me feel like I'm that much closer to OWNING one of those hard to find gems. I too, simply fold the lids to boxes and store them away. They take up less space than open boxes and I can save the box art.
  18. That's amazing! Which one is that? Is it the one with all the opening doors or the ex-Monogram kit?
  19. So does space to display them! I have the Turbo T/A, 82 Z28, 78 and 82 Vettes - all built. Big Red Rod, Monogram 1/12 57 Chevy, Entex Porsche and Revell Mustang - unbuilt. And I used to have the 65 Corvette, Jaguar, Golden T - sold them long ago. I love the big scale kits, but I had to come to the realization that I had no practical place to display them once they were built, and they won't fit back in the box at that point either.
  20. Hmm, I'll keep an eye out for one at the next kit show. Shipping might be a problem, though. ?
  21. What is your elusive "Bucket List" model kit? That kit you've wanted for forever, and hope to acquire before you're too old to enjoy it, but just can't seem to find. Here's mine. As a kid, I remember seeing this kit on the hobby shop shelf and never forgot about it. Everytime I was looking for old kits, I always wished I could find one that I could afford. Usually, I couldn't even find one at all. Never even saw one in person! Right now I can't even build it, it's too cool to me. It's just something I want to display on my shelf. Maybe someday though. Thanks to the generosity of Tonioseven, I now have one and I'm so pleased! Thanks Antonio. Now what's yours?
  22. Tonioseven is a great trader. Thanks to him, I got a kit off my model car Bucket List! Hope to trade again Antonio. Much thanks! Patrick
  23. Beautiful build of a difficult kit!
