  1. Anybody got any popcorn, this is entertaining! ? "Goober chunks" made me laugh.
  2. Thanks for the update, you're doing an awesome job! I admire your dedication to details and your customer service. Don't burn yourself out. You've got great products here and you're filling a definite need. Your decals look great and look like they're worth waiting for. I will definitely order from you in the future! 5 stars!!!
  3. Does anybody else but me see the irony of AMT issuing the Barris Kustom Riviera without the Barris custom parts?
  4. Don't look now, but your engine is having a party - it's blowing streamers out of it's distributor! LOL!
  5. Off topic - I love Speed Racer!
  6. Add pics to your message using "Click to choose files" then path to the folder on your phone containing the photos you want to attach. To place pic into your message, place cursor where you want pic to be and click on the + on the uploaded picture. Repeat as necessary.
  7. Oops, sorry I missed that. Great job!
  8. Beautiful build, is the wagon body from the 29 Ford woody/pu kit?
  9. How about adding "Conquista" and "Super Sport" decals to the El Camino sheet? In multiple color combinations. Love the Trans Am, 80-81 Z28 and IROC Z decals. Do you have them available in other color combinations too? We need birds in other colors besides SE gold. (But we could use the non-SE yellow/gold/black) How about "Sky Bird", "Red Bird" and "Yellow Bird" decals? Or "Formula" decals? In red, yellow, gold/black and gold/white. Also here's a bird I need in gold... And tenth anniversary (along with all the red and grey pinstripes) One more suggestion, we need ACCURATE state license plates, especially vintage 50s, 60s and 70s. But this might be a tall order as each state has it's own numbering system. California alone has different colors and number combinations depending on the decade. But it's just a thought. If I had my computer up and running, I'd help you work up the vector images for these. I enjoy Adobe graphic software too.
  10. Bart, Well done collage, I enjoy the way you ended up arranging everything together. Glad I could help.
  11. Finding forgotten parts is fun, especially when it's exactly what you're looking for in a current project.
  12. Yes, once the photos are uploaded to your message, place the blinking cursor in the message where you want the picture, go down to picture and click on the +. The pic will place in the order and location you want it. BTW - love your builds, nice selection of various themes. Keep it up.
  13. I had packed away all my model stuff about 10 years ago when my son was a baby and I wanted to focus on restoring my real car. Time marches on and my son is old enough, we get to talking about models. I decide to start pulling out the boxes I have stored away in the garage and in many other places around the house and I'm finding stuff I didn't know I had! I keep opening boxes and find more things that I was wanting to go out and buy, but I am finding I already have it. It's like going to a model kit show and finding that elusive kit that I knew I wanted, only I don't have to pay collector prices for it. It's already mine! Sometimes senility is a wonderful thing. ?
  14. Beautiful build of a car you don't see much anymore, 1:1 or in scale. I actually think it was a good design that still looks good today.
  15. I remember that article. I think it was in SAE, but I don't remember the issue. Glad to see the car still exists! Nowadays, they only put LS motors in old cars. I talk to my younger coworkers and they don't even CONSIDER small or big blocks anymore. Shame, they were great engines and they have more raw character than the modern powerplants do. But you can't chip 'em like they do now. A by product of the computer generation, I guess.
  16. Brandon, a perfect one is in the "Wild Hoss" 78 Bronco, but that kit is getting hard to find. I wish Round 2 would bring it back, it was a great kit of an oddball subject. Also did you try any of Revell's Mustangs or Torinos? It looks like something common in Ford's cars from the 70s.
  17. Brandon, Try Rico "camaro69" at Shapeways. He does model parts with a 3D printer. Excellent quality from what I've seen! And he'll make parts if you send him the picture. https://www.shapeways.com/designer/camaro69
  18. O.I.C. Makes sense now! BTW, Pep Boys has Plasti-Dip spray paint that's more than half that price! Some colors are even clearanced. Check it out online.
  19. I started one with that very idea. Since the 57 Ranchero is exactly a 2 door Ranch wagon with the back area cut off. Unfortunately, once I cut the entire roof off, I got bored with the idea and put it away. Shouldn't be too hard. As they say, just cut away everything that doesn't look like a Ranchero and "Voila"! Use the old Revell chopped kit for the complete bed area and scratch build the missing window area. Should be relatively painless. You might even reuse the wagon roof part as a cool looking camper shell! Even easier - has anyone built a delivery based on this kit? Good luck!
  20. Let's compare... Judging them side by side and without a ruler, it looks like the rear fender bulge is stretched a little and the door area looks longer too. Since the body is split in this area, you could use two bodies for this and not have to putty the seam. I would also have to say the front bulges were also stretched and recontoured too. And material added to the area in front of the gills. I would try to use two bodies for all of the stretching. Starting with the first body sliced vertically through the middle of the doors. This will be the line where the real body separates. Then use the second body, cut off the body right below the horizontal peak of the sides. Cut the line straight from wheelwell to wheelwell and save this area for later. Next, make another vertical cut on the doors of the body farther back to make the door stretch. You might be able to get away without having to recontour the front bulges, if this makes the wheel base correct. Next step reinstall the bottom body panel back on the front half of the body, but glue it several scale inches back to reposition the gills farther rearward. Use a matching filler piece from the first body you cut to make the stretch in the front of the gills to the front wheel openings. Lastly, carefully measure your cuts above the rear wheelwells of the first body and add the stretch from the now scrap backhalf of the second body to make the longer bulge area above the rear wheels. Measure carefully to minimize putty and use step cuts for strength. Hope this helps, if you can't find the body you're looking for and end up having to make it yourself. BTW - Does anyone else but me find it kind of amusing to see door handles on a funny car with no doors?
  21. You would paint wrap your mower?
  22. For legal reasons, I think companies have to re-use names of products they acquired a copyright to own, or risk losing the name to public domain for lack of use. Or something like that. That's what happened when Chrysler was using the name Suburban on their station wagons in the 50s and GM "copyrighted" the name for their truck line. Stole it right out from under them! Or how Nissan acquired Rogue because American Motors (of course, now defunct) doesn't use it anymore. That's why old names get dredged up and reused on inappropriate newer cars constantly - they simply don't want anyone else to get to use it! For what it worth, I think Gremlin, Pinto and Edsel are available, ?
  23. I always thought the same thing! At least using it as a short for Mercury makes phonetic sense. So when I see it as an abbreviation for the Benz, I sound it out as "Merse". Probably just to pronounce it the same. Just saying. ?
  24. "Pay attention, class. There will be a quiz at the end of the week." Very informative and educational. Thanks.
