  1. If the kit is as good as these previews (can't see why it wouldn't be), I'm all in! I'd enjoy finally being able to build a "correct" Boss 351.
  2. With a name like "Pulled Pork", shouldn't it have the Sheriff's decals included? ?
  3. Here we go again, anything else wrong with it? They finally show us a preview and it's already getting critiqued. The AMT was lambasted that the lights were too small. Are we EVER satisfied? By the way - NO they're not too big!
  4. I like the Mustang. Finally a good 1/25 Cleveland! Let's hope it has both black and silver stripes. I wonder how long it it take before someone converts one to a 73?
  5. Poor thing looks all beat to heck, but it looks SOOO good! Great build!
  6. Very nice color choice. Looks accurate.
  7. Simple solution, just crop the photos - like this.
  8. Oh, that's good. I thought the hood was cracked from shipment. Like it was another case of monkey delivery.
  9. BTW, that guy under the hood looks like David Letterman!
  10. Sure looks like the newly packaged kit to me. It's out there somewhere! Should be available any minute.
  11. Wow. Is this going to be the first Obit thread to get locked down? Seriously, I stopped watching mainstream news media a long time ago for reasons that should be obvious nowadays. Sometimes the only memorials I find out about are on this forum. I may not know who everyone is, but I won't disrespect their memories by bashing them either. Most people do have families who grieve over them and it's just rude to go and stomp on their grave, just because you don't think they were important enough! Just remember this poem: Remember me as you pass by, As you are now, so once was I, As I am now, so you must be, Prepare for death and follow me. author unknown.
  12. Probably some of us will, but by the huge diversity of guesses, I doubt all of us will. My bubble was burst 2 or 3 pages back.
  13. I'll bet that'll deliver the bread in a hurry!
  14. I don't use gel super glue, I don't like how long it takes to dry. I do use regular Krazy Glue for most of my builds. It sets fast, holds strong and doesn't shrink over time. It also sands well, so I use it as a small filler. That being said, I used little pieces of plastic to fill the gaps and then sanded to shape.
  15. Yeah, that's the one I saw. That one looks so cool! Leave it to the Russians to use a Vodka barrel for a submarine. ? Wonder if it has a screen door on it?
  16. I didn't even know these were 1/25. Crude or not, I'd like to find these someday!
  17. I bought one and I'm currently doing a "renovation" on any of the niggling parts that need improvement. To my eye the body looks good. I just HAD to tinker with the headlight areas and replace the rear taillight/bumper from an AMT Mustang, which looks so much better. I've also replaced the chassis and underhood area from a 73 Cougar. I bought quite a few back when they were cheap just for these Mustangs. I also found out the 429 engine in the Cougar is the exact same tool as the block in the Mustang kit that's used for the Boss 429 engine! It even has all the same stamped OE part numbers and engraving as the Mustang. Only difference is the automatic on the Cougar and the manual on the 'Stang as well as different intake parts. So for all the complaints, there is actually a correct 429CJ in the 71 if you put all the right parts together! I'm doing some upholstery work on some Revell 69 Mach1 buckets to replicate the pattern on the 71 Mach1. I think the seats in the Revell kit look better as a whole than the stumpy ones in the AMT/MPC kit. The 71 has some real possibilities, if you care to take a little time to correct the flaws. I'm having fun fixing it, mostly because it finally has the correct decals and good looking wheels and tires! I can post some pics if you'd like.
  18. Judging by the notes, that picture is from the MPC catalog from back then.
  19. It's actually this one. A modified issue of the annual. Just reissued recently - not that rare.
  20. That's never stopped the complainers before.
  21. And that giant space to have the best work bench and spray booth ever! 1 mil for a storage unit? Pass.
  22. It was only in the SMP 1961 annual, which AFAIK was modified into this 62 and the trunk feature was eliminated. Why I don't know, I've been wanting a '61 annual with this feature for years! As well as the ' '63 annual roadster with the rotating headlights.
