They Do Not take #6 plastic here in Manitoba which includes polystyrene.? I think if it doesn’t have one of those numbered triangles it goes straight into the trash anyway.
Looking real fine Bob! I believe that pictures don’t do it justice? The only place I see a hint of green is on the spoon handles. Hopefully you can get some good pics in the sun sometime.?
Nice work on the grill, and everything else too!? After filing the backside thin, I scraped the shards off with a hobby knife. Then cut some very narrow strips of fine sandpaper to drag through the slots.
You’re a natural!? It looks like you’ve mastered that airbrush on your first attempt.? Is that carbon fibre pattern airbrushed too? What did you use for a mask?
This stuff will definitely create a barrier. It comes in both aerosol and liquid. I have airbrushed the liquid form. Make sure you get the shellac based stuff, as they have other similar products. It is for sealing knots on wood surfaces. I would put a light coat of Tamiya primer down first then a coat of this.
I got some paint on it. First coat went on nice, second coat is a little pebbley? I see some careful sanding in my future.
I also got the engine wired and assembled.
I have no experience with it, but I think it would be too thick for most modelling purposes. The aluminum foil we have in the kitchen measures .001” thick. BMF is .0005” thick I believe. It depends what you want to do with it.
