  1. The wife has read some of the books quite a while ago but I haven’t. We just watched the series on Amazon and we both enjoyed it.?
  2. I scrounge stuff too. I have used candy bar foil for rear view mirrors.
  3. I probably drove first in a ‘61 or ‘63 Chevy cause I remember my Dad driving them. I took my test in his ‘68 Biscayne with a six and three in the tree. The driving tester came out to our town once a month and I was so disappointed on my first opportunity because the car had a burnt out tail light and the instructor wouldn’t take me.
  4. I have made my own wire separators from a pop can. I can’t help with the distributor boots since I have never bothered with them. What scale are you building?

  9. Very nicely done weathering job! Looks great all around Vernon.?
  10. Good idea. I have some empty Tamiya thin bottles. They are a lot harder to accidentally knock over than the BSI bottle too.? If the brush gets contaminated I can go back to using the looper.
  11. Thanks for the caution James. I could see the filler possibly separating under extreme temperature swings. No worries though since I cast the entire cab in resin once I had the corrections made. I was not after a corrected stake-bed, but a copy of my 1:1 truck.?
  12. Wow, the paint sure pulls it all together nicely! Beauty!?
  13. I use these glue loopers. I have one for the CA and one for the kicker.
  14. PM me Ash.?
  15. There is a wanted section on the forums. Post what you’re looking for and maybe someone has it and is willing to part with it?
  16. If the window is not to be saved, You could use a dremel to carefully grind the clear plastic away. This would avoid the prying which could crack the body.
  17. Well, I have seen enough snow already…but we’re getting more on the way from another Alberta clipper.? That’s my garage on the left.?
  18. Excellent job Bill. Very nicely detailed, and I like all the “stuff” just tossed in the back. Just like it would be in a real one!?
  19. Wow Gary, that is a great looking old truck! The color and the wheels look perfect on it.?Great fab work too!
  20. It looks pretty good to me! ? Have you seen Steven’s tutorial here? http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/149671-wheel-arch-molding-foiling-tutorial/
  21. Fine script can be masked also to keep excess primer off of just that area.
