Model car related abbreviation?
NOBLNG replied to 426 pack's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
OP= Original poster (not specifically model related but...) -
Same with "cast iron" exhaust manifolds, I leave the mould lines on them.

Wow, beautiful wiring job on that engine! That's a nifty little trick with the tube and sculpey clay. I will have to try that one. The interior is fabulous also!

I just stumbled across this thread during a search and all I can say is WOW! You are taking detailing to a whole 'nother level.

I agree, those paint jobs are immaculate!

Wow! That is really top notch! I love the "been there" stickers in the back window. -
And I also picked up a '70-1/2 Camaro. Hey, if Michaels is going to keep sending me 50% or 55% off coupons, I'm going to eventually buy all they have. Woo Hoo! The 20,000th reply.

I wound up exchanging the 1/24th scale '66 Shelby for this 1/25th scale '67 Shelby. This Mustang may have to be my first black paint job I attempt?

That's exactly what I do. Type in what I want to look at and click on images. It's amazing what comes up sometimes that is totally unrelated??

Beautiful restoration. I like the new shoes!

Interesting mods. I'm not quite sure where you're going with this yet, but carry on! Salt flats racer maybe???

Well I am starting on this one slowly. As folks on here say, it is a fairly nice kit. It will be mostly stock appearance with some detailing. at least that is the plan at the outset. The first issue I come across is the tail lights. They are quite large and very thick. Out of scale parts bother me unless it is a fantasy type build. The problem with these is: I can only reduce the thickness a certain amount before I cut into the recess... so I may have to drill out the recess in the body so that I can inset them somewhat. If anybody has corrected these somehow, please post up or PM me. Thanks Greg.

Tri-Five Chevrolet (no 56 Convertible)????
NOBLNG replied to ranma's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Love these cars! One of my regrets in life is that when I was 16 years old, I found a Bel Air convertible sitting in a farmer's field with 1964 California plates on it. The front bumper was in the back seat and it had a tow bar on it. The top and the interior were trashed, but no exterior rust anywhere that I could see (rare in Manitoba). I was told by the farmer who the owner was and that he lived in a small town in Alberta. Through a fluke of luck I was at a kids party in a neighboring town and low and behold, here was a phone book for the town in Alberta. I looked him up, sent him a letter (no e-mails or texts back then). He said I could have it for $500.00. Being a stupid kid and wanting something I could drive, I bought a '67 Falcon instead. Oh well, I am happy where I am in life, and who knows how one little decision could change the coarse of things? Sigh... -
Nice build! I love that movie. I was running the projectors in the local theatre when it came out and saw it multiple times.

Nice job on the upholstery. I really like the plain sleek look too!
