Too much air in the tires, but other than that it is PERFECT.
  2. Good luck with it. Those are my favorite cars!
  3. Hi Dann. Pardon my ignorance, but what's the deal with this tool? Is it just a piece of wire on a handle, or a hypodermic type tube? What type of glue works with it and how do you use it? Thanks, Greg.
  4. I agree 100%. All the attempts to idiot-proof everything is causing human brain atrophy. P.S. I don't like it being called a Blazer either! It's not even Blazerish.
  5. This is looking really sweet! I personally like the wooden barrels better.
  6. What's wrong with that? He blew all his budget on the suspension lift and is now saving up for the wheels and tires!
  7. that central dash cluster looks like some sort of tribal mask!
  8. That makes more sense. Any rope notch I've seen has a much deeper and angled notch.
  9. I'm not sure the Morse set is better anymore. One of them shattered the second I put pressure on it.
  10. Give it a shot, you got nothing to lose!
  11. Very nice! The vinyl top came out beautiful.
  12. Oh yes! they were TINY trucks!
  13. Terrific Idea! I have three Corvette kits that I am not thrilled with. Maybe they will make one good one. Thanks, I too will be watching.
  14. Your build looks great to me. I love the mud on the bike tires!
  15. Cool when I was a teenager my '70 Bel-Air broke down...so we piled 7 of us in to the cab of my Buddy's Dad's Datsun and drove around town...in a snowstorm.
  16. One thing that gets me mildly perturbed is when folks quote a post with pictures and don't delete the pictures from the quote. Especially if there are a lot of them and I have to scroll through them all again and again to get to the replies.
  17. It's simple...he has that machine from "Honey I Shrunk the Kids". He shrinks himself to 1/48th scale, makes the now HUGE parts, and returns to normal to post the progress.
  18. Thanks for the compliments everyone. The spark plug boots and the hose connections on the fuel filter are 1/16 shrink tube. I find that by stretching it as it is heated it will pull down to a lot smaller diameter than by using just heat alone.
  19. Thanks! I got heck on my first attempt at wiring for not routing them correctly , so I thought I would step up my game a notch.
  20. I couldn't find a thread specific for tools anywhere, so I thought I would start one. I bought these two items a while back at Lee Valley with a gift card I received. The hand held one I have used a number of times already. The "big" 2-1/2" swivel vise I have to make a set of soft jaw covers for yet and re-mount it at the center of my workbench.
  21. Stance looks cool. Weathering is real nice too. Whatcha got planned for a motor?
  22. Thanks for the info Michael, I have already made into a double pumper...sort of. Plug wires and vacuum hose are 30AWG wire wrapping wire. Fuel line is 24gage artistic wire. The fuel filter is a chunk of clear sprue and the wire looms I made from a beer can.
  23. Thanks for the replies. From googling images, I see the large round hole on the carb is not close to realistic, and the carb seems to be mounted backwards (keyed mounting hole). It will have an air cleaner so not too visible. I just figured I would detail it for practice purposes. I am not trying to be factory correct. I pretty much build all my models as if I was building up a 1:1 project car for my own use and enjoyment, including small modifications.
  24. When I was a kid, I had a subscription to Hot Rod magazine and Popular Hot Rodding. One of them did a piece on the CERV ll. I remember being totally amazed at the 0-60 time! Sold recently? For 1.1m https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/NY13/Art-of-the-Automobile/lots/r127-1964-chevrolet-cerv-ii/296136
  25. I have noticed with my i-phone that it has to be held close to vertical. If I try to take a picture looking straight down at something, it will not load onto this site. If it is tilted more than about 45 degrees it may not work. Also, as noted above, holding the phone (if that is what you are using) sideways will keep the picture rotated correctly when you upload them.
