  1. That's so that it pops up no matter WHAT someone types in the search box. Personally, I build for enjoyment and I intend (Hopefully) to build everything I buy so there is NO WAY I would pay over retail for anything!
  2. I have never even knew about metalizer paints until now, but according to the testors website they MUST be applied to bare plastic. I believe I will have to check the LHS for some to try. https://www.testors.com/pages/help-and-support/faqs/general-questions/
  3. Yes, Thank You for all your efforts and dedication.
  4. Well done! Sorry about your friend.
  5. I would drive it at night but not in daylight!
  6. How about making a cast of a large metal file to get the basic louver pattern? This is just silly putty to get an idea of what the impression would look like.
  7. I've never done one of these, but this seems like a pretty good solution. Here's a pic of a similar engine I pulled off the net. Edit: This may be a Packard engine?
  8. Beautiful job on those headers! The roll cage too.
  9. Those are some pretty cool sketches!
  10. I agree...a good set of scissors or a small set of pattern snips should work.
  11. Best to get a quality set of bits. Some of the cheap ones have nothing resembling a proper drill point on them! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/130290-drill-bits/
  12. Possibly braided fishing line? 10.5 divided by 25 equals 0.42mm.
  13. Great job on those wheels!
  14. Nice! No problem finding that one in the parking lot.
  15. Nice build! I used to watch that show when I was a kid.
  16. Really Nice! I like the cut away roof.
  17. Yes, unfortunately the main goal was to make a TV show...NOT an '83 Corvette.
  18. The front end isn't too bad. I think a hood scoop styled after the '67 big block cars could add a little pizzazz.
  19. And so can people with taste and style! I can't help that they didn't ask me before hand. My thoughts exactly...and fill in that seam where the new rear window frame meets the body!
  20. Yeah. Hard to make that thing look sexy without some very extensive modifications
  21. Did any one watch this? Actually it was called "The Lost Corvette". I think they did not integrate the split window into the body to make it look like it belongs there? It looks like they just put a fiberglass border on the existing window. I have a model that I built of this version that I am not too thrilled with. Actually I think it is the most bland looking generation of the Corvette ever produced! I think I may have to de-construct it and do my own '83. Edit: This would make a good challenge. Heh Heh!
  22. This sounds like your best bet. I would poke a pilot mark with a sharp scribe dead center of each light, then use a 1/16" or 3/32" bit to drill a pilot hole part way or all the way through. Then follow up with the final size by hand to the depth required.
  23. I just checked my AMT Shelby GT350 kit and they do look the same.
  24. Color what you have with silver sharpie?
