SQUARING UP YOUR TIRES & CHASSIS
NOBLNG replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Wow, this is an oldy….but good trick. I do pretty much what Dr. Cranky did, but I use two pieces of 1”x1”x3/16” angle iron. I use washers as spacers to allow for different track widths, or if the wheels don’t protrude beyond the floor pan. I square everything up with the lines on my cutting matt so the model doesn’t wind up doing a crab walk. -
Time to crack open a fresh model box because the one I’m working on has me flustered.

Probably easier to find a ‘70 Marquis than a Jim Croce 8-track. -
Ever go on a Road Trip in a Classic Car?
NOBLNG replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Yes, but they weren’t classics back then. I’ve recently been on road trips in my 2013 MX-5 and my wife’s 2014 Jeep Wrangler….both will be classics one day.😎 -
The challenges of spraying black paint?
NOBLNG replied to YellowHound's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have not tried that paint so have no advice on it. Like Matt asked, what airbrush and compressor are you using? A picture of your setup might help someone pinpoint the issue? -

This. I clean (sand) the parts well and use a bit of flux. I think I used rosin flux. I was surprised how well it worked.

Revell '57 Chevy Re-issue
NOBLNG replied to TransAmMike's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This is what Plastruct has to offer. I don’t see triangle shapes on Evergreens site and I believe .020” is the smallest round they have. -
I believe Ulf has it correct. The black piece is the lower half of the two-piece valve cover. And for anyone researching this engine, here are some more pics and a link to another thread and links to the articles that the pics come from. https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/194814-was-there-ever-a-kit-with-a-gmc-inline-6-and-wayne-12-port-head/ https://www.hotrod.com/features/iconic-ike-iacono-dragster-1958/ http://www.poustusa.com/CHEVY_VEGA/raoul_balcaen.htm

Internet IQ tests.🙄 I get links to them all the time from pinterest and decided to try one just for amusement purposes. I scored 145-156.🤓 Then I did it again entering all incorrect answers and guess what….I scored 145-156.😳 No wonder some individuals are under the impression that they are intelligent when in fact….
