An inspirational line up as usual, Anders. The 250 GTO, E-Type and 300 SL are true standouts to me. I’d be thrilled just to have put the surf boards under glass!

Sakes alive! That’s a busy 2021. The customs aren’t something I could make myself do, but I sure do enjoy looking at them when someone else builds them well.

WOW!!!!! This build could have easily been a poster on my bedroom wall when I was a youngster. Masterfully done down to the last little detail.

Hindsight being what it is, I suppose I could have posted this in June. I’ll spare ya the details, but between moving and a modern medical miracle involving my father and our new venture into homesteading I haven’t even unpacked the model bench. Heck, I have hardly had time to log in here. Anywho, here’s the few I managed to build before all the chaos broke loose. Happy Holiday wishes and hope for a bright new year to all of you!

Kudos to ACME! They put on one heck of an event. There were some fine examples of model building on display and it was a joy to meet some of the builders and chop it up about the hobby. The vendor turnout may have been too good, as I kept finding that my wallet had found it’s way out of my pocket and into my hand. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, even won a raffle! Unfortunately, I’m no help in remedying the photolessness of this post. Thanks again, ACME.

Nearly every technique I currently deploy is either different or vastly more refined than in my youth. The biggest difference between then and now? Two words. Patience. Efficiency. With scant amounts of bench time as an adult, figuring out how to maximize it’s value is a must. Patience certainly plays a role in that as well. Also, my “allowance” allows for the purchase of much better tools and supplies. ?
