  1. Claude, I have been using TS 13 with good results but I have only been modeling now for a few years. I am curious what you mean that TS 13 can't be stacked without waiting 30 days?
  2. Great looking Pinto wagon, very nicely done I must say. My very first car when I turned 16 was a new 1972 Pinto that was much the same color as your wagon with similar looking wheels. My father had a friend who worked on high performance street cars as well as race cars. He put a turbocharger on my Pinto back in 72. Your build brought back many memories. Thanks for sharing your build.
  3. Gorgeous build Gerald. That Tamiya light blue paint looks really fine on this car...the last two photos really show how stunning that paint looks. Thanks for posting this.
  4. I always enjoy seeing your work Dann. Really terrific craftsmenship as usual. Can't wait for your next post on this build.
  5. Like Steve said...I too have been having really good success with the clear 2 part epoxy, applied just as Steve recommend.
  6. Bruce, those seats look terrific. As a result of your input, as well as the input from MrObsessive I decided to pull the trigger on one of these 1/8 scale builds. I decided on the DeAgostini Jaguar. I ordered it 10 days ago and it should arrive next week. I opted to purchase it outright as opposed to the subscription service approach. I will be following along with your build here on this thread. Thanks again.
  7. Regarding response from Lee in Austin...Tamiya USA has great customer service. i would suggest you contact them and see if they have any #2 Rothman's decals they can send to you.
  8. Alex...your panel lines look PERFECT. Would love to know your technique. I paint with rattle cans and no matter how careful I prep or paint it seems like the panel lines flood with paint. Your model is gorgeous.
  9. I really like what you did on this Pat, very nice. I am just starting this kit myself. Any issues I need to be aware of? Thanks for sharing.
  10. Excellent build, really a beautiful model. The stripes I think are perfect!! I agree about the fit quality of Tamiya kits. They are very well engineered. Thanks for sharing this with us.
  11. Very helpful Bruce..thank you for taking the time to respond. Sorry to read about the cancer, hang in there Bro. All of us Old guys seem to get that form of cancer at some point in our lives...so you are not alone. My thoughts are with you.
  12. Terrific job on this build...loved the detail, the foil, and emblem work. Excellent.
  13. Really nice work...I think it looks awesome!
  14. Bruce thanks for the response. Are these models made entirely out of plastic or are they a combination of plastic and metal?
  15. Great job on it Dan...I really love these little Weird-Oh's models..yours looks terrific. About 4 months ago I had the opportunity to buy the entire series of these models for 100... I regret not pulling the trigger on that purchase.
  16. It looks terrific...really love the color. I agree with you about the Tamiya kits.
  17. That is again an outstanding build...very well done
  18. I agree with all of the above...outstanding model.
  19. Excellent as always Dann...love your builds!
  20. Beautiful model Don...love the detail work you did on the accent highlighting. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  21. Dann...thanks for sharing your builds...great work, but hey I did not expect anything less when I started reading your thread. Can't wait to see the finished model. One of my favorite cars of all time.
  22. That color on the left is gorgeous...I can't wait to see the body completed in that color and sheen. Really nice work.
  23. Very cool...I love it!
  24. Your masking skills are quite impressive Alex. Of all modeling tasks the masking effort is my least favorite. Maybe that is why I am so bad at it. If you ever get time post a tutorial on any secrets you have for such perfect masking. Many of us I am sure would be very interested. Thanks for sharing this build.
  25. Love that Bird. The stance looks great. I finished a 1962 a few months ago and would like to maybe build a 1966. Which kit was this? Any particular issues with it?
