Great looking Pinto wagon, very nicely done I must say. My very first car when I turned 16 was a new 1972 Pinto that was much the same color as your wagon with similar looking wheels. My father had a friend who worked on high performance street cars as well as race cars. He put a turbocharger on my Pinto back in 72. Your build brought back many memories. Thanks for sharing your build.

Gorgeous build Gerald. That Tamiya light blue paint looks really fine on this car...the last two photos really show how stunning that paint looks. Thanks for posting this.

Bruce, those seats look terrific. As a result of your input, as well as the input from MrObsessive I decided to pull the trigger on one of these 1/8 scale builds. I decided on the DeAgostini Jaguar. I ordered it 10 days ago and it should arrive next week. I opted to purchase it outright as opposed to the subscription service approach. I will be following along with your build here on this thread. Thanks again.

Regarding response from Lee in Austin...Tamiya USA has great customer service. i would suggest you contact them and see if they have any #2 Rothman's decals they can send to you.

Alex...your panel lines look PERFECT. Would love to know your technique. I paint with rattle cans and no matter how careful I prep or paint it seems like the panel lines flood with paint. Your model is gorgeous. -
I really like what you did on this Pat, very nice. I am just starting this kit myself. Any issues I need to be aware of? Thanks for sharing.

Excellent build, really a beautiful model. The stripes I think are perfect!! I agree about the fit quality of Tamiya kits. They are very well engineered. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Very helpful Bruce..thank you for taking the time to respond. Sorry to read about the cancer, hang in there Bro. All of us Old guys seem to get that form of cancer at some point in our lives...so you are not alone. My thoughts are with you.

Really nice work...I think it looks awesome!

Bruce thanks for the response. Are these models made entirely out of plastic or are they a combination of plastic and metal?

It looks terrific...really love the color. I agree with you about the Tamiya kits.

Your masking skills are quite impressive Alex. Of all modeling tasks the masking effort is my least favorite. Maybe that is why I am so bad at it. If you ever get time post a tutorial on any secrets you have for such perfect masking. Many of us I am sure would be very interested. Thanks for sharing this build. -
Love that Bird. The stance looks great. I finished a 1962 a few months ago and would like to maybe build a 1966. Which kit was this? Any particular issues with it?
