  1. Gorgeous color and I agree it is one of the best detailed and fitting kits out there.
  2. My wife made me go out last night and fill up both of our cars. Hers was still a little over half full and was $46. Mine was at about 1/3 full and it to $83.50. When I drive by the station this afternoon it was $0.10 higher at $4.59 a gallon. Good thing she is a stay at home (grand)babysitter and I drive a company rig. My car only get about 10-12 mpg. As far as models go, I already have too many and have plenty of budget saved up for more when I find what I like.
  3. Very nice result. The artistic design looks very "busy" but compared to all the "jelly bean" cars sold today but, it looks way over the top cool.
  4. Yours turned out very nice. Would you consider the color a close match to Orbit Orange as used on 70 GTOs?
  5. I have not built any of my Novas yet. Following.
  6. My experience has been different over that several days. When I start reading a thread from page 1 and go to subsequent pages, it randomly drops me at various points in the scroll instead of always at the top.
  7. I got some on my 70 Grand Prix build to replicate a 1:1 Grand Prix I once owned. I even had a set of the rare gold version on my very 1st Grand Prix.
  8. I rarely put mirrors on my models. I will look to see if I have any of the Riv's shape.
  9. I love how you have made this. The color the details everything. Very nice!
  10. Question, were the all one piece chrome RS grille/headlights kits from MPC? I have built these 3 years ago and cannot remember.
  11. I spy a lot of gems in your display cabinet. Any links to pics of those treasures?
  12. I usually like to do batch builds. I started with Challengers in red, yellow, orange and blue. I did two Freightliner COEs. One was red and white, the other was black and gold. The next batch was 70-72 Chevelles in red, black blue and brown. Not to long ago I finished some 67-69 Mustangs in silver, orange and gold. The blue 67 Shelby has stalled due to two paint job failures. Right now I am making slow progress on some other stalled projects. A red, white and blue Kenworth Canepa, a 1974 (yes 74) Hurst/Olds and a 1970 El Camino Pro Street.
  13. My mom remarried an officer in the US Air Force. He was driving a 72 Riv in metallic maroon at the time. I have always like this body style. BTW are you looking for the stock chrome driver's side mirror or the dual body colored sport mirrors on many GM cars of the era like my Grand Prix?
  14. I have one of these in the stash. Good to hear they go together easily. Following.
  15. Gorgeous truck, I like all the different colors.
  16. Oh my! I want a ride in that awesome boat!!!!!
  17. Cool project. Following.
  18. The interior color scheme looks awesome.
  19. Cool! Did the wheels come in the kit?
  20. That is really sweet!
  21. That turned out very well. My parents had a metallic light blue one when I was a kid.
  22. I actually have an unbuilt of this kit. I have a couple of unfinished 72's as well.
  23. I work in the HVAC refrigeration industry. The copper lines we use come in hard and soft. To soften or anneal the hard copper to bend it, we run our oxy-acetylene rich to coat the copper in soot. You then heat it until the soot is gone. It is then air cooled.
  24. Very nice tri-tone interior and all that foil trim. My my.
