Very creative project. In the 1:1 world you would have to be pretty strong to lift the spare tire that high to hang it. Full 55 gal drums would be quite a challenge too.

The fact that your kitbashing from the start tells me you have been at this hobby for awhile. Since you chopped the top, I am curious how you get the windshield to fit since it has so much curvature.

I grew up in the 60's as a car nut. I do not recall ever seeing a Buick wagon with a sunroof. Just Olds Vista Cruisers.

That Charger sure has a lot of rust. But I am really impressed with the realism of your diorama. The wear on the steps it a nice touch.

That candy color is gorgeous. I will have to try that once I have some more practice air brushing. Transparent candy colors are very sensitive to the base color and number of top coats.

That is beautiful. The pastel color is perfect for the era.

Way cool jags. My step mom had a 71 XKE V12 when I was in high school. One weekend my Dad and step mom went away for the weekend. I was watching TV and my step sister stepped in front of me and dangled the Jag's keys in my face. Needless to say we went on an unauthorized joy ride the day. I took it to about 135 mph on some open two lane black top. I was amazed how grippy the 4 wheel independent suspension was combined with Michelin radials. They never did find out about our little adventure until years later.

I must say you nailed the stance and the wheels are a way cool modern take. I am also impressed with your effort to recreate the A-pillars. That endeavor is beyond my skillset at this time.

That is way cool. I am currently back dating a 75 Cutlass to a 74 Hurst Olds. I has similar lines to the Buick.

I like to have my amber lights stand out in contrast to the paint. I just used 3 different techniques for some running lights and fog lights on an ongoing build. I thought I would share them here in case they may work for you. #1a and 1b Chrome fog lights: These mount from the rear. I applied an alcohol based artist pen to change the kit chrome to amber. The fit and/retention location on these is very poor. I used Testors window maker to retain them as it wicks around the perimeter and dries crystal clear. #2 Cab visor running lights: These are each supposed to sit into an individual well. This really dulls/darkens the lenses. I opened up the back of each well and used BMF on the back side of the visor to add reflectivity. Once in place and lightly held by the BMF, I used Future floor polish to be the "adhesive" and gloss the lenses and the visor. #3 Side skirt running lights: Again drilled out the back side of the recess and retained the amber lenses. However, this time the reflectivity is provided by some Molotow applied to the back of the lens as BMF would be to far away due to the thickness of the part.

When I first saw Rat Rods at car shows, I did not like them. But now everyone I see I love to study the artistry and the creativity.

Here is my two axle trailer. I have no idea how I came to own it as it simply in a sealed bag. I made a few mods like the tool box and the spare tire carrier. I used textured paint for the tracks. Unfortunately, the solvents have made the Chevelle a permanent load on this one.

Well thought out and executed. Folding seats, neat trick.
