  1. Multiple choice question. What's s school bus driver's most important piece of equipment? a) Lights b) Brakes c) Horn d) A bottle of Extra Strength Tylenol
  2. I was searching for my next model car project on EBay when I saw lots of military vehicles myself listed in the automotive section. They should have their own.
  3. I just scored two vintage and very dusty rebuilders from a local E Bayer on the cheap which are a 1940 Ford delivery truck and a 1972 GMC stepside pickup both from AMT. They'll be at my place before Friday.

    '39 Chevy Coupe

The patina looks great on the car. Like peanut butter and jelly.
  5. I got through with the last two of a batch of built cars that need minor reassembly last week. Some needed the kit bashing approach but they all look good. I'm now looking for another project or two to work on myself. I'll look on E Bay this week sometime.
  6. Around 4 AM this morning as I and other residents were sleeping, a drunk was wandering around the floor of my apartment building banging on people's doors including mine as he was screaming to no end. The police came quickly after someone called them and the drunk was wisked away in cuffs. My building is normally quiet with the vast majority of the residents who are decent and have jobs. What happened this morning is a rare occurrence thankfully.
  7. I have a extended cab and regular long bed which are promos and a built stepside which I bought some years ago but no short bed. However, now that it's out, I'll snag the shortbed sometime this weekend.
  8. Even here in my Blue state of Massachusetts, the locals are not quite that fond of the Cali folks who drove here. They drive like maniacs.
  9. I can't understand the reasons why California has so many laws and regulations covering emissions. There's enough to fill an old phone book. Here in Massachusetts, once a vehicle reaches the age of 15 years. it's exempted from the emissions test but is still required to undergo the annual safety inspection.
  10. I built the factory version of the Monogram Capri II years ago straight out of the box and when it was molded in black. Like Dave Van, I'm wondering myself if Atlantis has the tooling for the kit. Hopefully, Atlantis is in contact with Ford about working out a licensing deal for the car and other Ford kits.
  11. I'll be working on the last two of two dozen built model cars today that only need minor reassembly. Both will need the kit bashing treatment but I have suitable replacement parts on hand. After that, Who knows.
  12. I was on my way to work early this morning when I heard a loud pop coming from underneath my Honda Accord and then a loud roar. I limped it to my mechanic's shop which thankfully isn't that far from my work place. He called me later in the day and said that the entire exhaust system from the cat back was coming apart from the rust and that the car will be in his shop until he can round up the replacement parts tomorrow. It won't be cheap according to him. Thankfully though , I made it to work on time.
  13. I'm finally started to get out of my modeling slump and started to work on a couple of built cars of over a dozen that I've been neglecting for a while due to my schedule at work and other things going on. Nothing big. They just need minor reassembling each. It's my weekend off and have all the time I need.
  14. I stopped building a few years ago and concentrated on buying complete model cars and others that I can fix using the kit bashing method and I've been slumping on the latter for quite sometime now. I have over two dozen cars that only need minor assembly but with the workload at my job and other things going on in my life, I don't have the time or energy to get to them even on my days off but I haven't forgotten about them.
  15. Hopefully the occupants came though it OK.
  16. I deleted a link by accident that was e mailed to me and I wanted to share it everybody. It said that I can have a flying drone for free and all I had to do was pay the shipping. I didn't bite at all. After some digging, I discovered the e-mail originated in Nigeria. Greed is something that's not needed.
  17. I'd like to wish all of my fellow modelers here at MCMF and their respective families a happy and safe Memorial Day Weekend.
  18. She will certainly be missed. She was so full of energy as she toured while promoting her award winning album "Private Dancer" way back in the mid 1980s.
  19. It's possible that Atlantis may have them. The number of molds that it purchased from the new owners of Revell back in 2018 was in the hundreds.
  20. I stopped by my local Dunkin Donuts shop early this morning on my way to work and while I was waiting in line with 5 others, a woman came in and went straight to the front of the line with a sense of entitlement attitude. The 6 of us and the D&D employee jumped her and she just stormed out. I hate people like her.
  21. I watched a video of the folks from Atlantis at a model show in Wayne NJ. last month where test shots of three different models that some say that one of them was the Tom Daniels Poison Pinto. I checked and it sure looks like it. The video is before the thread showing the funny car molds.
  22. Howdy and welcome to the site neighbor. There's a few others here from the Bay State as well that I'm aware of.
  23. I have the need to drive for a weekly paycheck. I drive a school bus.
  24. Finally got a jar. I actually got two. It was pricey but it's a good seller where ever it's sold.
  25. I haven't been able to my my favorite brand of coffee anywhere for almost a few days. The brand is Nestle's "Taster's Choice" instant coffee.
