Nice to see some of your stuff again Bill! Hopefully the move went well and you get some bench time. -

Some fresh quick drops with some nice vintage plastic, merc is a 1980 issue Barris custom and the ford shoebox is a 1975 issue. love the good castings and lack of excessive flash on these early kits. Both will be ground huggers and curb sides. -
That is one of the kits that I remember so dearly from my childhood, my dad had one build in a nice dark green, it ended up being a toy for me, a learning ground if you will. But it also set into me that models should come apart and be remade occasionally lol.

This is a great thread! I like some of the starts that you have. That lindberg 32 is a sweet find. -

The car of my childhood, I’ve always wanted a replica for my shelf but the prices are unreal for these.

I’ll stick with the black steelies I have it mocked up with. -
That’s a shame, the smooth lines of this car are really well done, and the front and rear treatments are classic

I have a set of those but one is roached beyond repair, the glue used to attach a hubcap took all of the detail off. -
Nice work on both of them Jim.

@customline Jim that is some very realistic crust you have created, reminds me of every car I had growing up in Newfoundland, middle of the ocean surrounded by salt.

Well we will wait anxiously for the final chapter.

I’m sure the results will be worth the wait

I’m leaning towards the green, but I’d like it also in a very smooth black. Either way it’s gonnna be a shiny rod -
Thank you, I really need to dust this off and finish it, I get side tracked easily… look a squirrel! Thank you, I’ll get this in rotation back to the bench.

Thank you Craig, it is a lot easier to add detail to the new 32 frame, the stance will remain pretty much as is, I decided to do a slight wedge channel to keep it from having the rear up look of a lot of hot rods. The suspension height is locked in and I’m stoked on getting more work done. Seeing as I’m on a 5 day isolation ban I should have a fair bit of bench time. My biggest hurdle now will be to select a colour that will showcase this work properly. stay tuned… -

Yeah looking at it now it might be a tad overkill, but I’m gonna run with it. -
