After a couple of weeks of haggling and back and forth conversations, I finally managed to get my grubby little mits on a resin gmc crew cab. Now to decide if I’m going to build it as a 2wd dually, crew shortbed, or massage it into a suburban! Or maybe a 4wd?? I’ll be poking it on the back burner for a little bit. I’d like to make it it into a retro version of my shop truck.

2022 Cannonball Group Build theme suggestion thread
Bullybeef replied to Fat Brian's topic in Community Builds
I’d like to join in on this round! I guess I’m in the banner year of 1970! I’ll have to start planning on what I’m gonna build. -
1975 Chevy Blazer
Bullybeef replied to Bullybeef's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Well I finished all the major prep work of the suspension pan, and the interior! Now it’s on to the bodywork, filling in the moonroof and the holes for the spotlights. -

I have a friend locally that has put quite a bit of time in his R&D for the stl files he uses to print from. My goal to use one of his fine prints in a build will be appearing on the board soon. -
Removing the Rat from the Roaster
Bullybeef replied to Rocking Rodney Rat's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I’ll follow along, the roadster is one of the 15 that I have already completed, but maybe I’ll find some ideas for one of the others -

I’ll be following this build intently, I have a pair of the lx kits and was looking for an inspiration to build one of them. I am still holding out on one of the kits to bash with the body from the old revell fox body kit -
1963 Chevy Nova Wagon Street Rod FINISHED 3/20/22
Bullybeef replied to Dennis Lacy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Well I for one think that the clean lines of the interior would be ruined by cup holders, you could always say they are hidden under the arm rests like on a 2012 VW CC! -
That’s great news!

Good news for a change...
Bullybeef replied to tim boyd's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is indeed great news, I’m fortunate to live in a city with two hobby shops within a 25 minute drive of my residence. -

SQUIRREL!! -
Decided to buckle down and try to get some more work done on the cabriolet. I’ll be using all the stock suspension components from any of the revell 32 series kits. I’ll also use the Chrysler 392 hemi with some nice add ones from R&M of Maryland to spruce up the bare bones engine. Front wheels are from the 37 Ford pickup and the rears are from the monogram Lincoln. I’ll find some dress up caps in the wheel bin and spruce up the wheels later. Mr. Zappa decided to try out the cockpit.

Let's See Some Glue Bombs!
Bullybeef replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
While not rare it is a desirable kit to me so I will spend some time making it right, the practice on this will help me save the Falcon that I scored. I look at some of your work and what you have saved and it makes it a little more inspirational. -
Let's See Some Glue Bombs!
Bullybeef replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is one that is rescue able, 32 Ford highboy frame and engine, the body was too far gone to repair, but it will live on as parts for another rescue. The glue staining is terrible and some of the parts will not come off without destroying them, so I’ll just concentrate on removing the chrome and clean up the rest as best as possible. -
Just finished this thread from the beginning and wow have I learned a lot! Impressive is an understatement.

Been a bit of a crazy busy week at work, and my creative side fell off a bit, I got sidetracked from the 32’s with a ‘74 cuda rebuilder. So now that I’ve got the week behind me and the next two days off, I should be able to get some more of the frame work nailed down.
