  1. Ahhhh those voluptuous, gracefully sweeping curves and sleek body lines. Truly one of the most beautiful cars EVER ! Beautiful build, a jade jewel.
  2. VERY clean build , not a fan of those sharp color contrasts, but it does work well on that behemoth. What I really like is the dirty engine compartment. Very convincing ,nice touch.
  3. She's a beauty to be sure. nice n tidy
  4. and the crowd goes wild,,,,, I love this thing, OUTSTANDING !!! and if you had given it your best shot, WOW.
  5. Beautiful build. Excellent !
  6. I did that cleaning house bit, a long time ago. I got rid of kits, and parts, and I wished I hadn't. Tastes change, but eventually the wheel comes back around, and those 50's and early 60's cars and kits I ditched were all I wanted to build. This 57,by the way looks to be a bad ash ride.
  7. The problem with the 1st aid superglue,,,, it ALWAYS sticks to where ever you DIDN'T put it, and don't want it ! Maybe its just me
  8. I've got 178 on the shelf at this point ,and a few more scattered around different hobby shops around western NY. Ten at Adam Miller toys in Batavia NY.
  9. I have a 1st aid kit, on the shelf right in front of me, as it's the most frequently used tools on my bench. someone needs to invent a bandaid wrapper you can open with one hand.
  10. I'm ok with it, I don't get upset anymore. I get nervous if NOTHING goes wrong. We can't all be DaVincis ,some of us just have to be Picasos ?
  11. I always ALWAYS, screw up the finishing touches. touch it up,,, ,touch it up some more, then touch up the touchups. They are my signature, the screwups and touchups. As for the learning from others mistakes, I can't even learn from my own. I seem to keep making the same mistakes. That might be why my "dead" wips are so numerous, I'm afraid I'm going to OOPs and screw up a project that was going so well, until
  12. Don't close that gap at the top of the dash ,you'll need it for windshield clearance.
  13. Man, I thought I had done a respectable job replicating my 61,,,,,, I hadn't even noticed the missing character lines/bulges on the hood.
  14. This is a very interesting parts box, kit bash, scratch build project. I love the subject matter, and the style you've decided to go with. "build on"
  15. I'm working on a 58 chevy it's one of those " bring out your dead" been at least 10 yrs. I had previously sanded off the chrome trim, and primed it today ,then plowed ahead and sprayed it with tamiya gold,,,,except it wasn't gold, it was coral blue. dizzy blonde moment.
  16. that cloth interior looks great !, I tried that Once
  17. never spray lacquer over enamel.
  18. I drove ,owned, one of those back in the 80's. I had built a replica of that car out of the new ( at the time) AMT 62,converted the roof from a monogram 58 bird to fit as my car had been a hardtop. Short story, I would REALLY like to get my hands on one of those early t bird kits. can't wait to see this .
  19. I've always overlooked any snap kit, but these look great.
  20. Killer stance !
  21. I'll be in for this,,,, if the deadline were for the end of THIS year,. nyuk nyuk . I've got a couple of dead but not buried cant, did, its a revl 64 imp, or a gahk Lindburgher 63 mustang II. kitbash with an amt 67 mustang. But it's just so UGLY
  22. Looks like it might work. You're pretty brave trying something with paint that old, but if it does work you can always drop it back in the tub. Unusual subject .
