  1. The Chevy is available in short and long, just not the extra long but you don't see those often anyways. Not as often as you used to see the Ford extra long.
  2. Nine dollars at Ollie's? Ouch.
  3. I think there would be plenty of market for Johan. The only company missing, not absorbed by Revell or Round2. Nostalgia is a big factor, most of those oddball things Revell sold off I would never buy, but someone does I guess since they're being reissued now. Groovy Grader? No thanks. But that Cadillac Eldorado I built as a kid, sure I'll take two.
  4. Yes that's the one. I would have bought one but I keep ending up buying other things instead.
  5. I would check this store again in a week or so but I think I've only got a couple of days left at this job where I pass the store. From my last post it's been almost a month since I last stopped there.
  6. The store near Hiawassee and Colonial (Orlando Fl) had the Rat Fink trucks and trailers, the mail trucks and a couple D50s today. It would be great if they kept getting restocks for a while of the kits they do get so the resellers wouldn't have as much of a market.
  7. Hobby Lobby still had the police version on the shelf last time I went there, as well as the drag version.
  8. Went to the job near Ollie's so I checked in again. Wanted the Transtar and surfer van, forgot about the mail truck which I also wanted. No vans but got these.
  9. I like how you photoshopped out the license plate.
  10. I can see where one might view the computer as a musical instrument, but when I ask people what instrument they play I've never been told "I play the computer".
  11. Sticking together those plastic parts is building. Somebody had to create those parts so they could be built. 3D printing, creating parts, is a different level. I can build an engine, but I can't create an engine block so I can build an engine.
  12. Yes, but I still have to build the house.
  13. You didn't build a part, you printed a part. You didn't build a file, you designed a file. You have to actually build a part for it to be scratch built. It's an impressive skill, yes, but unless we're changing the definition of words again it's not scratch built. I guess made from scratch would work for me.
  14. Designing a file isn't building. The architect designs the house but I build it.
  15. It's called scratch building, not scratch printing.
  16. According to a bunch of people, nostalgia still sells.
  17. The place ain't the same without you Ace.
  18. That was a little more difficult than I thought, but that's due to age (of the van not me :D). There's a rubber protective boot around the shaft which has turned to hard plastic so I ended up cutting it off. I also cut the line off the pump. I only installed the upper seals on the box because that's what was leaking and I didn't want to go any deeper. The receipt was in the box, I got the seals in January.
  19. Those wheels ruin it. At least they're easily changed.
  20. The truck is working fine with my JB Weld crankshaft patch, and runs much better with the new timing chain and crankshaft sensor. So now I'm finally going to do something to the van tomorrow that I've been putting off for a while. The steering box is leaking so I'm going to install the seal kit I got months ago. I'm doing it because the high pressure line is leaking bad now, which I just ordered and will pick up tomorrow.
  21. This has never happened to me... until today.
  22. I'll get the trailer at Ollie's like I did last time. I didn't think it was that long ago.
