I like to get an old cereal box or something, spray it with some adhesive spray (I use 3m) put wide masking tape(4in.) Sticky side up, stick the wheels on and now you can shoot it with your favorite paint.

Still can't find it. I don't really like those hooptie wheels anyway. Here is a member of this boards store Casey who I highly recommend https://www.ebay.com/sch/forward_resin/m.html?item=324996319131&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m3561.l2562 -

The truck Suzuki is a TM. The jeep has the later RM. The 1:1 TM was said to be an awful bike. The RM was quite an improvement. -

Got my paint and surfer gas pedals like the cal custom one I used to have on my Westfalia bus. Everyone used to love that one. Had to get my flat black from mail order.

Couldn't help correcting these square headlights (not a fan). Next thing to go are those T-tops. T-tops belong on 70s Trans Ams. Not pickups. ? -

I'm really glad that I shelled out the extra $ for this vintage kit. Very exited to start building it. Looking back, I don't recall ever completing this one back in the day like soo many others. The only thing I remember was spraying it with that god awful metallic burgundy paint ?. I'm definitely going with the orange. I already removed the chrome from the side steps (just don't think they look right like that) and the gas can. and I drilled out those headlight buckets to accept round headlights that I stole off a 1/18, '55 3100 I scavenged the suspension from for another project. I have a picture on my phone I'll post later. -
That fire truck combo Bed would be nice although a little warped. Also, the rear wheel openings look to my eye like they could stand to be forward slightly. This is a child's toy but they still got the placement of the front side marker lights more accurately positioned than the Revell. I also prefer the style side but the step side has kind of grown on me with the Revell. Besides, you get to detail that nice oak bed floor.

Smoke tint window material
Mike C. replied to Mike C.'s topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I did think about doing that but I was afraid it would just fall off after it dried. I felt like i was getting contaminants in between the glass and the film so l needed to get the cleanest surfac possible and what could be cleaner than a dinner plate. This has to be the 4th try at the film. I'm finally satisfied with it so I'm going to walk away for now. -
Sweet. Those wheels are really nice.

I think the verizon store near me might have those things. I'll have to check. I did try with the automotive film one more time. This time with the squeegee that was made for that. It went a little better. -
Nice. ?
