  1. Nice! I love adventurous paint jobs. Your attention to detail inspires me.
  2. Bro, you got it right the first time. I've always liked that light and dark same colour two tone theme. Those Hasagawa vw kit's go together well. Simple static kits but crisp body detail. I did my T2 delivery in the SoCal style. P.S. Love the garden cafe. Keep up the good work Conrad, and remember the etic, "build it your way". Cheers, David. ??
  3. Nice build Bob. I would never have thought to use a navy blue on a street rod but you nailed it. ??
  4. Thanks Doug, I glued the doors shut but they worked OK before I did. The bed cover I scratch built with styrene sheet so as to hide the cut up bed floor. Again, thanks. Your feedback is welcome and appreciated. ??
  5. I built this Lindberg "DODGE FEVER" A100 with intent on a slammed ride height which I achieved. Down side is with the mods I've made it was near impossible to have running gear. So with that said I built it as a static model. Paint is Tamiya Ts20 metallic green and Ts26 pure white. Cowl vent and masking is a bit messy but looks OK on the shelf. Thanks for looking. All feedback is welcome. Cheers, David.
  6. Thanks John, I like to think outside the box.
  7. Thanks Greg, much appreciated.
  8. Thanks David, much appreciated.
  9. Hi Dan, nice 1:1 Beetle. I got the BRM's on ebay which come with the tyres. A German hobby store called ScaleProduction supplies them. They have some great stuff.
  10. Thanks Chris. Your Springboks are on fire brother. Our Wallabies didn't stand a chance. ??
  11. I love this truck. We never had these in Australia, only the Ford F100 range. Wheels make it pop. Again, great build.
  12. Thanks guys. Your feed back is much appreciated. ??
  13. Nice build Dan. These Hasagawa kits are basic but the parts are very crisp and detailed. I built the 67 delivery version in the SoCal style which for me is the best style for the early VW's. Again, nice bus. Cheers, David. ??
  14. Liking that slammed look. I bought some Jada style wheels off ebay which were way bigger than advertised. Disappointed I pressed on and built these two models with the wheels I had. What do you think? Cheers, David. ??
  15. Amazing!! When I look at all the details on your model it's like all the things I've dreamt of doing on my models but thought impossible. Thank you for reminding me that anything is possible. I will be using your WIP for years to come. Again, thanks for sharing. Cheers, David.
  16. Thanks Kevin.
  17. Love it. Nice blend between stock and drag. ??
  18. My 29 pick-up was given to me by a friend in a poor state from an open used kit he got at a swap meet. All the parts used are from the box except for the wheels which are sourced from the revell/monogram 32 highboy Street rod kit. Paint is tamiya gloss black and light blue with clear pearl and matt black roof panel. Suspension has been worked to get the right stance. Flames are home made stencils. Critical feedback is welcome. Cheers, David BEFORE REBUILD
  19. Great looking 29. It's always a good look to have something in the pick-up bed. I also like that you have used sedan tail lights. Kool ??
  20. I have been building models since I was in my mid teens in the early 80's. This is my first time in a forum and am enjoying it immensely. So many great builds. I'm getting lots of great ideas. My title , XYHARRY, is a take on the saying "hot rod harry" as I once owned a 1971 xy series Ford Falcon 351. My God son, after seeing it started calling me xy Harry so it stuck. Cheers, David.
  21. Nice. I love the number plate. Aussie Monaro's are fetching big dollars here. This is one example.
  22. Yes, very sad for us too. GM has dropped our Holden brand which produced your Monaro/GTO. I had the 02 Commodore SS 5.7 ltr, same body style as your GTO but with 4 doors. Holden prices have now increased 400 to 500%. I sold mine one year before the shut-down.
  23. Thanks David. I love el camino's. I'm from Australia so these type of utility vehicles are close to our hearts. Some pics of my 78 El camino.
