  1. G’day Luke, that looks sweet. πŸ‘πŸ» I’m curious about the colour shift paints, do you clear them? Or does that ruin the effect?
  2. Hi Michelle, nice build. If you had painted it red it could have been the valiant Dennis Weaver drove in the 1971 movie Duel, when he was chased by the guy in the tanker truck. πŸ‘πŸ»

Sorry to hear that mate. Been in similar situations myself. Take care.
  4. G’day Bob. I’m seriously impressed. Black is hard to get right. I’ve got a 62 Impala in the pipeline l painted TS-14 and I had to rub it out with 8k and 12k micro mesh cloths to get it to the stage your 53 is at. Looking at the pictures, you won’t need to polish it out at all. Nice work .πŸ‘πŸ»
  5. Beautiful looking truck. They do look great in that blue. Nice work. πŸ‘πŸ»
  6. G’day Bob. Is that straight out of the can? Man that came up well. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
  7. Nice work. πŸ‘πŸ» Good colour choice and the detail painting of the hubcaps really adds to the visual appeal. Top stuff.
  8. Beautiful build of the R32, a car that dominated the Australian touring car championship in the early 90’s. Quality work there Kaci. πŸ‘πŸ»
  9. Beautifully done Super Bee, nicely detailed interior. Lots to like about this one. πŸ‘πŸ»
  10. The American volunteer group, AKA the Flying Tigers were probably the most famous operators of the P40. I have a P40B kit in the stash that has the markings for the plane flown by Robert T Smith, a Flying Tiger ace. Cheers, Stuart. πŸ‘πŸ»
  11. I love 240Z’s. Count me in on this one.πŸ‘πŸ»
  12. G’day all, I recently felt the need to build something with wings again. The P40 is probably my favourite WW2 plane. This one was flown by George Preddy when he was a young pilot stationed in Darwin in Australia in 1942. Preddy was flying this plane on a training flight when he was involved in a mid air collision with another P 40, Preddy managed to bail out, unfortunately the other pilot, Lieutenant Sauber was killed in the incident. Upon his recovery, Preddy was sent back to the US. He went on to become one of the USAAF’s highest scoring aces flying P51 Mustangs. The multi piece fuselage makes this kit somewhat challenging, but a bit of time filling gaps and rescribing panel lines makes for a nice accurate looking P40. Thanks for looking. πŸ‘πŸ»
  13. G’day Bob, I’ve wanted to try this technique on badges for some time but have been a bit hesitant. Keen to see how you do. πŸ‘πŸ»
  14. There’s solid proof right there that these DDA kits build up very nicely. Razor sharp foil work and glass like paint are just two things I like about this HQ. Excellent work Luke,πŸ‘πŸ» that’s inspired me to try and get more bench time and crack on with my HQ. Also mate, any idea what happened to the original car that inspired this build?
  15. Cheers Luke, over a gloss black base you said? I’m going to have to give this a go. πŸ‘πŸ»
  16. G’day Michelle. Looks great, nicely detailed wheels, ( l struggle with this ). The heavy flake in the paint is kinda period correct as l remember going to custom panel van shows in the late 70’s and buying all the car magazines and this paint was very popular then. πŸ‘πŸ»

Crisply built and glassy white paint makes this vette stand out for me. Top stuff . πŸ‘πŸ»
  18. G’day Luke, awesome work on this one, superb! πŸ‘πŸ» Got me thinking of trying out SMS colour shift paint on a Tamiya R33 l have in the stash.

    1964 GTO

From this mock up, you can already tell that this is going to be a stunner.
  20. I’m really liking the interior of this one, especially the chrome trim on the steering wheel horn pad. πŸ‘πŸ»
  21. Little red Corvette. Beautifully built. πŸ‘πŸ»
  22. Sharp looking 32 you have there. Beautifully done. πŸ‘πŸ»
  23. I love this! If l could go to my garage and have a 1/1 version of this truck parked there, I’d be a happy man. Top looking build. πŸ‘πŸ»
  24. G’day Joe. I built a Tiger a few years back and I painted the rubber sections on the wheels by hand, very time consuming. Things are coming along nicely with this build. πŸ‘πŸ»
  25. G’day Bob. I’m a little late to this one, but man, this looks like it’s going to be wild when finished. I’m in. πŸ‘πŸ»
