  12. It would be nice to clean the dust off the first one you built and build the new kit release as you want it to be now. Then set them side by side for a nostalgic comparison. A nice then and now experience. Joe

  17. The three pedals are separated now and ready for paint detail and such. Made up five "tuck and roll" pieces for the interior (to go with the two pieces for the seat). And the cleanup/sanding work is about to the point where I can call it ready for primer. I know...molasses moves faster than I do! ?? Joe

  21. I have a concrete floor as the model room is in the basement. The floor is painted a light gray color that has a little bit of a blue tint. I vacuum the floor regularly and keep it clean and, as a result, can usually find a runaway part easily. One other thing that I do: I wear a long shop apron at the bench and, when dealing with small items, will attach the two lower corners of the shop apron to the framework under the bench with metal spring clamps like those used for holding sheet paper together. The apron will catch the part before it hits the floor and saves me from having to get down on my knees. Joe
  22. Welcome to the forum, Dan! Joe
  23. This morning, with Blizzard Warning ongoing through Saturday PM and more lake effect snow after that, my bride of 53 years suggested that I might want to spend some time at the model room bench this weekend. ??? Joe
  24. This turned out really nice! ? Joe
