  1. Those Rallye rims are resin from Bob Dudeck, I THINK, it was years ago. Maybe Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has them?
  2. The Revell one might be a 1969, but it's SO much better!
  3. Cool Hot Rod!
  4. Awesome frame details, wow!
  5. But they do ship to Canada! Amazon increased their minimum wage, good for them, but now they have to raise their prices!!!
  6. Hey Tom your truck is looking excellent, but I think the front tires sit a bit too far back in the wheel opening, not? I was disappointed in Mobius for the misleading box art as well. Nothing much wrong with the kit, and it says F100 right on the box top, it's just that showing an image of something different is a tactic that I thought was way in the past. I'm sure Mobius will correct that box in the next issue, maybe the decals too. And Pat, the Chevy looks awesome!
  7. Thank you, as for the brake calipers, I thought they would interfere with the wheel attachment, won't they? I'd love to SB those! Have you?
  8. Hey Dan, when you drilled those speaker holes, did you use a template? I need to do that so maybe I could borrow your template??? Mine jambs are burried under paint.
  9. Love that gasser, sweet! Yes Darin, you should be able to scratch build one in this scale fairly easily, but I'm sure they're available 3D printed already.
  10. I love seeing all the SB and how much it adds to any model, I love it, thanks for sharing!
  11. Very cool 'Bird!
  12. I don't see any screw posts! That looks awesome!
  13. Here's how those pipes look out the back. I extended the frame so the bumper would stick out a bit. This is the first picture with the frame glued to the interior tub/body. Tires are not on yet, and there's still a lot to do, but finally I can see the overall look.
  14. Just made up a dual exhaust for this one, looks simple enough, but it's made from lots of little pieces of "other kit" exhaust bends and pipe, each drilled and pinned then puttied and sanded.
  15. I built this one using the chopped Revell coupe. I'd expect most of the stock height roof Revell kit to be the same. Just don't expect the AMT front fenders to fit like a real car, leave some of Revell's fenders attached and make your splice a bit forward, something like my first picture.
  16. I love that paint job and the little fixes really add to it, nice bird!
  17. How about this cool '50 Suburban! PEACE signs on the tail lights, nice!
  18. Since I retired, I've adopted the "Zen" approach, I now have more time to spend so I might as well, slow down and enjoy each and every little moment of the build. After all, that IS the fun, for me, of model building, building! Yes I really enjoy it so much more now that I'm not in a hurry to finish anything. The Scout kit has nothing for under the hood, so I kit bashed and scratch built these "things", so much fun!
  19. Love it! Also agree, one of the most beautiful cars designs of all time!
  20. I just couldn't let this one slip by without me saying what everyone else has already said! It's a perfect period custom piece! I love it, so nicely done, clean and tasty! The piping is an amazing addition and your explanation of how it's done is excellent.
  21. Can't wait to see more of this one, should be very cool, and low! (Foose Caddy chassis???)
  22. Yes I think using the stock Revell '48 would be the same as what I did with the chopped version. Have you, or anyone else, tried that '41 Plymouth front clip? I have the woody body that I've been "playing" with, don't have front fenders for it yet and using '48s seems silly because there IS a '48 woody already. Oh, for my custom I used stock '49 Merc tail lights and I think they're perfect, considering that "back then" they used parts from other cars for customs.
  23. I did a period custom, using Revell's chopped '48, and kept Revell's front fender to door intact, otherwise the AMT'41 will droop to the front. So here it is in a nutshell!
