  1. Looks great. I'm getting quite excited about this release. It appears Revell phoned in the tires, but then, it is Revell. Otherwise, it looks like a fine kit.
  2. Beautiful T-Bird, and I love the back story. Well done all around.
  3. Good looking Cobra, and one of my favourite movies. It will look great on the shelf alongside a red Ferrari Daytona roadster. Actually, lots of cool model subjects in the Gumball Rally. It would be fun to build the whole lot, including the rabbit's T-bucket hot rod.
  4. Great fab work and fine detailing. Love the colour. That engine sure is a tight fit. Very cool!
  5. Good looking Torino.
  6. Very interesting project. I’ll be watching this one come together.
  7. Cool build. Nice looking Maverick pro stocker.
  8. Looking good. I like an S1 in white. It may be tough getting a good stance on this kit. The kit's Wolfrace wheels, nicely done as they are, are a bit too large in diameter. And the tires, with the correct profile, are correspondingly too large around. Gives the car a tippy-toe look while still stuffing the wheel wells. I resorted to fitting a low profile, wider tire set (from the Fujimi Pantera) to the kit wheels to make things look right. The result looks cool, but doesn't quite look stock.
  9. Very cool! I had no idea. Sounds like an interesting show.
  10. Nice looking Blazer. I have not seen Stranger Things, but when I first opened the post I thought it was the Blazer from Jaws.
  11. Nice work. It looks good converted back to a regular work-a-day truck.
  12. Very cool project.
  13. I think I would sand most of it off. First scribe the window trim quite deep so you don't lose it. Sand most of the texture is off, then mask off the rest of the body and apply a couple heavy coats of primer and sand that smooth. Keep some masking tape over that fine engraving on the 'C' pillar while sanding so you don't accidentally damage it.
  14. The Ghibli is super cool. I'm very impressed whit what you have created here.
  15. Great tips, thanks. I can think of many other uses for this material, too. Got to get some.
  16. Thanks Snake. I'm pretty sure it is 1123 that I'm looking for. Thanks Tom for the tip. Cheers.
  17. Looking great. Nice scratch work. It's coming along nicely.
  18. Cheers Snake. Quite helpful. The paint I used was definitely Testors from the 1/4 oz bottle. From that chart I would guess the number is 1123, or possibly 1121. Hard to tell for sure, but that’s a start.
  19. Very nice Cobra. Cleanly built with fine detailing. I especially like the paint, the colour and the sheen look perfect. Well done.
  20. Cool! I loved these kits as a kid, and they still look great built up.
  21. Nice looking GT40 roadster, Dave. I like the blue interior.
  22. A few years ago I began a restoration on a ‘74 Charger I built in the early 80s, including replacing the body which was painted Testors dk green. My project stalled when I realized Testors no longer makes dk green. So now I’m on the hunt for a bottle or two of vintage paint, but first I need to know the catalog number. For example, Testors gloss green is 1124. I’ve been googling for over an hour but can’t find the number for dark green. Does anyone know the number for gloss dark green? Or know where to find a Testors colour chart from the 70s or 80s? I have no idea when this colour was discontinued, but probably the last one I bought was when I painted the Charger in 1982.
  23. Awesome looking pair! Beautiful.
  24. It’s coming along nicely. The belts look great!
  25. I use Tamiya wax, and I love it. It will indeed protect the finish from finger prints, makes them wipe right off. Works great on windows, too. It’s easy on the decals and gives them a nice sheen. Beware that after applying the wax the body will be very slippery. Also, after applying wax nothing else will stick to the surface (decals, glue, paint, BMF, etc) so be sure it’s the last thing you do to the body or glass.
