  1. Wow! Beautiful XI. A stunning model, great save. You nailed the look. I never knew this kit existed. I’ve got some searching to do.
  2. Sweet Shelby, Gil. Proper detailing and clean work. High marks all around. Very well done.
  3. Man, you sure do get into some cool subject matter. This looks like an interesting project.
  4. Are the wheels steerable, i.e., does the duct need to be flexible?
  5. Awesome! Very cool on both counts. You captured the vibe well, nice work..
  6. Nice! Great old school style. Tidy build.

    59 Nash

Cool little Nash. I really dig this build.
  8. Beautiful Jag, Randy. Looks great. The BRG suits it well. I’m so glad we now have a decent and readily available kit of this wonderful car.
  9. Cool look. I think the black over green is the right way to go. Looks aggressive.
  10. Thank you, Craig. This is my understanding as well. The rumour mill has been working overtime to churn word of Testors doom, but I could find no official announcement saying so. just, as you say, the sub-line products are going away. I emailed Testors for clarification, but never received a reply.
  11. Nice save. There are certainly some cool old school mods there. A real time capsule.
  12. Nice build of one of Lotus' greatest. Looks like there would be a bit of 'pucker-factor' in applying those decals.
  13. Looking great. A lot of facets to this project.
  14. Very impressive work. Much fun watching this thing come to life.
  15. Very cool Torino. I find it surprising that more non-Indy pace cars are not built. All NASCAR tracks and most short-tracks in the land had a pace car, and they all looked cool. This is a particularly neat one. Nice work.
  16. I saw your call for decals and I was sure I had the correct Castrol in my large collection of vintage contingency decals, but no go. Good luck on your quest. It's pleasing to go the extra mile to get these details right. The vintage Ferodo decal may be particularly hard to find.
  17. Great save on the clear coat. Very impressed with the paint on this. It looks fantastic.
  18. That is some awesome patina. It really looks like it's made of steel. Excellent.
  19. I don’t know of one, but I’m watching this as I have an F-100 project that needs a 223. I figure when the time comes I’ll have to modify something else to look like one
  20. Thanks for the replies. Colour is not important, just looking for a small quantity of fine zinc chromate. Cheers
  21. Enamel paint. Thank you Mr Snake.
  22. Zinc chromate is a greenish yellow primer developed for use on Aluminum and similar alloys. Testors sells a product in the little square bottles called zinc chromate. Does anyone know if the Testors product is really zinc chromate, or just a paint that is 'zinc chromate' coloured?
  23. Gorgeous! Great save, very well done!
  24. A superb collection. True nostalgia. Thanks much for the tour.
  25. Cool! A nice tidy build of this old kit. It's one I had forgotten even existed, and I'm sure I have never seen one built. Nice work.
