Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! This is a super cool build, Fabrizio. I have thought about building this same racing set-up of Pete Lovely's VW & Lotus, but suspect it is one I will never get too (there are many of those). I'm glad to see someone create this combo in scale, and especially having done as nice a job of it as you have. Very nice work all around. The tie-downs look great, and you nailed the Lotus' graphics. I love it! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting this, Terry. I remember this model well from the old SAE magazine, and the graphics have always left an impression on me. I found it to be simply stunning. Some random things just get stuck in the brain over the years, and this build is one. I thought it was one of the coolest model paint jobs I had ever seen. Curiously, I was thinking of it just the other day when looking at some nail art decal floral designs, and thinking they would make for neat low-rider graphics, which got me thinking about your very cool paint work once again. It is very interesting to see it now, in colour, after all these years. The detailed photos allow me to see just how lovely this paint work really is. The pink is much darker then I imagined. To this day, it remains one of the my favourite model car paint jobs ever. Thanks again for posting this. I am very glad to see it.

Lamborghini Countach double-build: LP400 & LP400S (Tamiya, 1/24 scale)
Bainford replied to Tommy124's topic in Model Cars
Sweet collection of Lambos. Really digging the LP400. Nice clean work and great paint on all. Very nicely done. -
Hello Francois. Sounds like you have lots of varied experience. Your Bently project sounds cool, looking forward to seeing it. You could post your Bently build in the 'WIP: Model Cars' section, or if it is specifically a race car, you could post it in the 'WIP: Other Racing' section. I am unsure about adding links to the photo gallery, someone else will have to field that question. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Cheers.

Alpine Renault A110
Bainford replied to TonyK's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Don't know how I missed this one earlier. Nice clean build of one of my favourite cars. The Tamiya paint looks a very close match for the factory paint. I have a couple of these in the stash, and I think it's about time I dug one out. I was keen to own a 1:1, but the prices have risen out of personal range. Very nice work on your build. -
Love it! Great colour, lovely patina. Very cool.

Looking good David. Even better that it's not a Hemi. Will be great in orange.

Looking for the 73 Nova SS side stripe
Bainford replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
It may be a long shot, but worth checking Keith Marks decals. I just checked Ray's Decals, but he doesn't have them. -
Man, that is one beautiful funny car. I love all the Mickey Thompson Mustangs, but this lesser seen car (in 1:1) is particularly striking. Very nicely done. Are the decals kit decals, or Slixx?

Nicely done, Michelle. I like the new colours.

Anyone offer flexible pinstripe decals?
Bainford replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Interesting stuff. Pinstriping is perhaps the most frustrating part of trying to create a graphics package for a replica of a given car. I've tried a number of different approaches with varying degrees of success, but never fully satisfied. Some of this nail art stuff looks quite intriguing. I just checked some out on Amazon. Quite a rabbit hole there. Lots of interesting graphic products that could be useful for model cars, especially the low rider guys. -

Jim, that is really looking the business. Loving everything about it. -
This beast is coming alive. Must look very impressive in person. The build is looking great.

Looking great, David. Nice work marrying the body to the chassis. It's really shaping up.

I may have access to such equipment. I try to get an analysis done, but it may take a while. My guess is it contains a significant percentage of tin.

Wow! That is just gorgeous, Ryan. What a sweet little B. A very clean build, and high degree of realism. The colour is inspired, and the combination of pale yellow and brown interior is perfect. All round great build. I built one of these kits a couple years ago, and like you, found it to be a great kit that went together exceptionally well. Top marks on yours. Cheers.
