  1. Fine looking Shelby. Love the sanitary look. All round great build. Nice work on the wheels. Love it!
  2. Cool style, Ray. Looks good in black.
  3. That is gorgeous. Nice clean work, and I just love the colour. This is one mean looking Vette. Very cool! You mention the colour is kona blue from Splash. What did you use for an undercoat, under the blue?
  4. Cool project, interesting subject. Looking good so far. Cheers.
  5. A 1:1 colour that looks very much like what you are looking for is Lotus Racing Green (LRG) as used on the Elise and Evora. Sources such as Gravity, Splash, or Zero paints may offer some options for this colour.
  6. And that includes the added thickness of the adhesive, too.
  7. Model Master did a British Racing Green that was metallic. Nice colour, though I've not shot it myself. Unfortunately the MM paint line is discontinued, but some paints are still kicking around, and might be found through the usual sources.
  8. Welcome to the forum, Tony.
  9. The Vette is coming along very nicely, Ismael. Nice work sorting out those panel lines.
  10. The dual 4 bbl version is pretty cool. Hhmmm… wheels are turning. Brewing up a new project here. I’m picturing a Maverick bracket car with wicked 300 six power. Darn! Another one for the project book. I’m never going to build them all.
  11. Very cool project. Nice, clean work. Looks like a fun build.
  12. Haha This made me laugh.
  13. One of my favourites, too. Yours is looking great. Very nice.
  14. Nice build. As mentioned above, I too think Superbirds and Daytonas make odd looking drag cars. Still very cool, though. You did a nice job on this classic kit. Good job on saving the decals, some of those JoHan decals don't age well. Your masked paint lines are nice and crisp. Well done.
  15. Welcome aboard, Jeffery.
  16. Welcome to the forum, Robert. There are a couple of threads discussing 3D printing, and several forum members are quite proficient. Good luck with it all.
  17. If I was going to use silver as a barrier, that's the way I would do it. A light coat of primer to prepare the plastic for paint, then your coat of silver. At that point, you can paint your body colour over the silver, or another light coat of primer over the silver first, then paint. Depending on how smooth everything is, you may want to do some light sanding of the silver/primer before laying down the final colour. However, if you are worried about paint build-up, you could probably get away with no primer at all. Paint your silver over the bare plastic, then your colour. Something to keep in mind; If you are doing any masking, sometimes the tape can pull the colour coat off the silver base. It might be best to test on scrap plastic first, before committing to your project. Also, be sure all coats are well cured before advancing to the next step. ...or, you can paint with acrylic, which should not experience bleeding. I'm not aware of any good hobby acrylics in a spray can, though, and some non-hobby paints labelled as acrylics can still be hot enough to promote bleeding.
  18. Cool to see a six banger Camaro. Nice details. I really dig the paper floor mats. Nicely done.
  19. Very nice. Good looking conversion. Your collection of unkitted American cars must be quite large. Cool stuff.
  20. That’s looking great. You’re nailing the look. Nice engine, too.
  21. Cheers, Mate. Message on the way.
  22. Things continue to look great, Bob. You are sweating the details, and it's paying off. Very nice work.
  23. Coming along very nicely, Jason. Been eager to pick up one of these kits, so I am keen to watch this build come together. Looks like a nice kit. Love the colours.
