  1. Revell should revise the tool and make a 66 Coronet..
  2. In "Hardcastle and McCormick" the Coyote changes from 4-lug to 5-lug wheels from one scene to another. In "The Brady Bunch Movie" interior of the 72 Montego wagon changes from one shot too another when Greg and Marsha are stopped by the police.
  3. In Ford V Ferrari there is a 66 Galaxie in the background of a few scenes that take place before 1966.
  4. Even at the best judged model car shows where craftsmanship is supposed to be at its highest, there are many entries with mold lines, ejector pin marks, copyright information left on, etc, etc. I have seen judges sigh and put down models that look great on the surface but the chassis detail is sorely lacking and poorly finished. The y end up giving awards to "the best of the worst".
  5. Way too much overthinking here. Just glue 'em up and go.
  6. Michael has attended and sold his products at shows in Southern California. He will be at Spirit of Speed show in Pomona in November. Are you thinking of SoCal NNL? NNL West is in Santa Clara.
  7. I have supplied Michael with various kit dashes so he could produce gauge faces and get them the proper size on a few occasions, so there is a good possibility you could do that. All he needs is a kit dash and a good image of the gauge faces for that particular car.
  8. I have a turn signal lens if you need.
  9. I was also going to say there are alternatives on the MCG PE set. Plus you get a paper copy of the grille to practice folding so you can get the angles right.
  10. 65 Mercury was available as a kit and as a promo. One-year-only annual so there have been no reissues. They occasionally pop up on eBay and can be pricey.
  11. Who wants to bet AMT never made the wheelbase adjustment?
  12. Bill, the rear glass on those Impalas/Caprices was not welded. There was a rod cast into the class. An electric current was passed through the rod, causing it and the glass to heat up. The glass was then bent and allowed to cool.
  13. What's ironic is I paid more than twice as much for this resin kit than I did for a running, Full-size 66 Country Sedan back in 1978 or so,
  14. Yesterday I received a resin 66 Country Sedan from Paul Hettick. Very nice. Looks better in person than the pictures.
  15. Saturday I saw Jay Leno driving his White steamer in Burbank. Later I saw a really nice 56 Bel Air Sport Sedan.
  16. ...and there was at least one builder who took it to heart and built a Boss 429 Corvette using that kit.
  17. I built one of the Packard kits when I was about 12. One of the few times I received a model kit as a gift. Somewhere along the line it disappeared. A few years ago I found a nicely-built one for a reasonable price at a show. Now on display in a case in my bedroom.
  18. "It's a movie about an Indian but it's really boring."
  19. Lucky dog. remember this: The car can't do anything without your input, fast or slow. With great power comes great responsibility.
  20. Cool. He even has the tennis balls for the stacks.
  21. This was in my local newspaper Sunday morning.
  22. Let me know if you find it. Thanks.
