  1. I wonder if this has not been here longer than we thought and people just thought they had or have the flu?
  2. This is a good question and it depends on people my ages wallet and state of mind. I add the last part because it seems to me there are thousands of delusional people when it comes to the cars of the past. They are delusional because 90% of the 50's cars they restore are just run of the mill family cars. Nothing wrong with what they do I like these cars also but I understand that they are/were just run of the mill.
  3. Schools in Michigan and Ohio will be closed starting Monday for 3 weeks to a month. This could change anytime they say.
  4. I agree Steve. The Media is pushing the fear factor so they have something to report. Be safe and wash your hands is what they have been telling us, does it make a difference I hope so. The model show in Macomb MI this month has been canceled.
  5. Yes I do not recall the year. we had 3 Mavericks at the house moms was a new 73 4 door so that year sticks in my head but I am not sure if it was or not. My sisters was a big bumper car so it was newer than his.
  6. Yes a 3 speed. remember it was a Maverick not a Mustang. It would still smoke the tires when it was almost dead.
  7. Welcome aboard.
  8. I talked to our programmer at work guy at work. He worked at an injection shop before our shop. He told me that plastic starts to flash around .003 of an inch ( the thickness of your hair). So if the mold or the inserts have a gap as large as that we get flash on our parts. I have a 57 wagon from Revell that has flash and short shots in 2 different boxes. Of course I find that out after I find out about their troubles. Nothing that can not be worked around but these are new molds.
  9. Still loving this build. My late brother had a small bumper Grabber in red. Rusty as you would expect here in Michigan. 302, 3 speed with the grabber hood. I always liked that car. So my point, A maverick looks good in red.
  10. Back in the day we were told that hoods were paint a flat color to help stop sun glare. That might be just an old tale I was told. Better than nothing. LOL
  11. My wallet is starting to hurt just looking at these again. So many ideas.
  12. ?? Off to a great start. only a few months until drag week.
  13. Not sure I have ever found one at a show. I did find a re-builder in ebay.
  14. Thank you Tom for posting. I am glad to hear he is doing well.
  15. Well I went to the Auto Rama in Detroit and avoided the models because I had a couple of Moebius pickup's 65,66,70 here before I went. trying not to buy as many new kits. trying but succeeding lately.
  16. This looks nice, great color choice.
  17. That was my favorite car. I talked to the owner. it was built in a one car garage by the owner and his buddy. Great idea and a very nice car. Sure there were nicer cars with a much larger budget but I like this little Rambler.
  18. Yes looks great. I like the flat black, shadows don't have a shine. When you put it on the body for mock up you will have a better idea of how it looks.
  19. This is very interesting. I like it because it is different.
  20. This looks nice.
