    The sedan delivery was car based, but there are two lines of panel trucks above it---light (red one in the previous pics I posted) and heavy duty variants. So for 40-41, Ford had 3 types of 'vans'---the car-based sedan delivery, the 1/2 ton truck-based panel, and the larger truck based panel. It's an interesting obscure topic...not sure if Chevy or other brands had such variations. These photos illustrate the differences in the 3 varieties.     As I said above, the 40-41 light duty trucks (1/2 ton) had the car-like styling like the red one I posted, and the heavier capacity ones had different styling with the light pods. Like how they have been split the last 20 years between F150 and Super Duty designs. As far as I can tell from googling pics, it seems this was unique to 40-41 model years, the '42-47 generation seems to have had the same styling between the light and heavier duty models, and likewise for the late 30s. Trying to find an article about them, but Wikipedia and other resources seem to have very little about prewar WWII Ford pickups.

    GM did sell one of the Vauxhall models (Viva?) in Canada in the early 70s to disastrous results.

    Maybe its a difference between light duty and heavier duty...like how today we have F150s and Super Dutys with different styling. The red one is listed as a 'panel delivery truck', and has the front clip like a '41 Ford pickup. The grubby one is listed as a '1 1/2 ton panel truck'.

    At this point, it seems like 1 issue a year would be a major accomplishment. I'm skeptical that 6 or 9 are achievable.

    Yeah, I've seen that phrase specifically applied to full size Pontiacs of the 60s.

    My sister's first car was a '76 Pinto Runabout that my Dad bought for her new right after high school when she was starting college in the fall of '75. It lasted until 1980, when she and her husband drove it from Ohio to Arizona towing a small uHaul trailer. It arrived in Arizona with no grille, the hood mashed in and a door bashed in--it had been hit twice in McDonalds parking lots on the way cross country. She traded it on a '78 Datsun 280Z. Always wanted to do replica of the little blue Pinto, i remember riding in it as a kid. My brother briefly had a '71 or '71 Pinto that was black back around 1974, but I don't really remember it (I was 4 then)>

    There is a bright red one around the corner from me in great condition, sharp looking car...always liked them.

    Neat to see the '70 Impala Fire Chief car listed...I have several AMT '70 Impalas, never had that version...I guess the only differences from the regular issues would be the dog dish hubcaps and steel wheels and siren, lights, etc? Hopefully no Coke decals. I wonder what the 'Popper' '77 Pinto is...the same that was recently reissued but w/ a Coke machine?

    All 70 Camaros had single (2) headlights. The RS nose had the split bumpers and the round parking lights (as on the AMT Z/28 and BM), while the base single piece bumper front end had parking lights under the bumper. So based on the description ,AMT-1155 should be something that looks like this (without the vinyl top):

    Those 3d printed GTX parts are nice, have them and the Road Runner grille and the 69 Satellite grille and wheels, looking forward to them doing a '68 GTX decklid and taillight panel. Got my HLJ PW shipment from last week--2 from Aoshima, 2 from Hasegawa.

    Also, from the photos of 1:1s I've seen, it looks like the front urethane bumpers are a different shape than chrome front bumpers..they seem to fit flush on the corners..

    Unfortunately with that angle, it’s hard to tell what it is...though it looks like it has a black roof. Though it does look like a 66 Impala grill if I blow up the pic.

    I never had the modified Yenko version, but built the 80s MPC convertible and ht versions...was there also an issue w the engine? Can’t recall.

    Ya, along with a Coke Chevy Camaro (any era, doesn't matter), Coke Garage Series lift, Coke tanker trailer, Coke logging trailer, etc...

    The holes on the fenders would be for optional parts like antennas and spot lights. I've seen the same thing on the Craftsman '64 Malibu and other kits..

    Anyone have reference photos? Not sure I’d know the difference in axles.

    Since it’s a modified version of the Hemi kit, they probably didn’t change the rear axle part.

    At least they came up with some nice box art, rather than adding Coca-Cola decals (though that will probably be next).

    It said Fast & the Furious on the box art was what distinguished it. What is interesting is AMT/RC2 and Revell both issued F&F '69 Camaros, 13 years apart (AMT-2002, Revell 2015).
