  1. Got some goodies from Japan today, incl. the Bandai Cup of Noodles kit and Tomica diecast Cup of Noodles w/ wheels.
  2. There definitely seem to be lots of subtleties to the rooflines, etc...differences between 2dr ht, 4dr ht and 4dr sedan, etc. One body style I'd like to do is the '69-only Custom 2dr sedan, but would need to scratch build the '69 Custom/Galaxie grille...
  3. Did you use the 4dr roof for this one? This is a type of conversion I kind of want to do eventually, using the '69 XL kit and '70 sedan to make a '69 LTD 2dr ht.
  4. Salma Hayek and the '68 Cougar were the best parts of that movie...
  5. 4dr...same old, same old...molded in blue, new decals...
  6. I think they all rusted away here in NE Ohio. Can’t recall the last time I saw an S-10 in use.
  7. The best are when someone quotes a post w/ a bunch of photos only to add a one word reply....
  8. I think it would be good to have like/dislike/etc buttons. Sometimes a like is all a post needs, and not a comment.
  9. I remember for years seeing a white 2dr mid 60s Corina w/ green trim down the sides at a gas station in a small Ohio town near where I lived as a kid...
  10. Beautiful fall day, took a drive through a park and saw a gorgeous white '61 Cadillac convertible, rolling top down. Also a sharp red '74-77 Corvette.
  11. Those are both on my all time favorite list.. crime films are probably my favorite genre. Some favorites of mine--- Bullitt Grand Prix To Live and Die in LA Heat Manhunter Collateral Goodfellas Get Carter (the original w/ Michael Caine) Le Cirque Rouge The Departed The first 3 Indiana Jones movies The original Star Wars trilogy Monty Python movies The Big Lebowski most Coen Brothers movies
  12. I've read this is a new tool, an earlier version than the previous Academy kit.
  13. The Pony was their first home grown car, I believe it had some Ford Cortina parts (they had been building Cortinas under license). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Pony The Hyundai Excel that replaced the Pony was based on the Mitsubishi Mirage. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyundai_Excel
  14. Just spotted this heavily modified for off-roading old Jeep Grand Cherokee (ZJ) across the street...
  15. Tower Hobbies is saying February 2021.
  16. You mean Sean Connery? Roger Moore passed years ago.
  17. I wonder if they tooled up a ‘71 front bumper.
  18. Battlefield Earth..really cheesy sci-fi movie w/ John Travolta, lots of weird camera angles.
  19. I'm in a Facebook group for '69-70 Fords, really like these cars..found a couple pics from there that may help..
  20. That is something I miss about the olden days, before the internet...going into a hobby shop and seeing a new release I didn't know was coming..the surprise and delight... though I do love the easy access to vast quantities of info on the internet (and ease of ordering kits and parts on the internet), but some of the thrill is gone...
  21. It's just funny, people get all anxious about when something will be out, all the speculation over release dates, etc...better to just chill and it will be here when it's here...
  22. Both probably would have been very low volume...Chevy had the Corvair-based van then anyway, and it had more space.
  23. I seem to recall seeing someone post photos of a well done 1:1 custom Chevy II 2dr wagon on here or one of the other modeling forums I'm on a few years ago...
  24. I'm sure it will be out when it is out.
