  1. I'm curious about the decals....I've got a case of these from a prior issue.
  2. Where can I find a list of the hobby shops?
  3. Dan those look absolutely killer but Google research shows the lead isn't used anymore. Hasn't been used since the 1990s. Is this stuff you've had stored since then?
  4. Not a problem for the design work I do.
  5. I'm pretty good with Illustrator.....I typically learn much better when I have a project I'm trying to complete.
  6. Please send me info.....I'm wanting to up my game. I'm also looking at CNC equipment.
  7. Take a look at Amazon for airbrush compressor. Search for airbrush compressor. There's a host of them for under $70, some with tanks. It seems the majority of these have tanks which I'd recommend.
  8. What's the standards I should look for in a 3D printer. I think the price is getting to a point its worth considering. Thanks, Mike
  9. Maybe the Vega.....I've already got four of the diggers Cudas. Frankly I think they were cooler with the Stardust decals from last time. The rest, maybe at Ollie's.
  10. I love it.....paint is period correct killer! Where did you get the decals?
  11. First off I'd scuff the surface to knock down the shine then use a good primer. Then I'd switch paint to something designed for plastics.
  12. Alexis, I agree with a lot of what you're saying but disagree with you in to some degree. We currently have several early 70's pickups available. Moebius is knocking it out of the park with their Ford pick ups. As for the 32's, how many thousands of them are on shelves? I saw one of these trikes at show this spring and screwed up and passed on it on the first look. Went back and someone had beat me to it. As for the price, two trikes in one box, that would be more enticing. I know the Honda trikes share a lot of parts, nothing else they could be bought with the two bodies for the Mailbox and the Digger although for the minimal extra plastic, there should be two trikes in one box for $28. One for $28, it will have to be 40% off for me to consider it.
  13. What would be interesting would be to see either the Roth or AMT's T modified into a Ivo/Kookie Kar kit. It seems with a few parts swapped and decals and you could do both.
  14. I doubt she'll get what its worth on a piece by piece basis. I think somewhere between $5000-10,000 would get it. What I see, seems closer to the $5000 simply due to the expense of reselling. The promos will be worth significantly less unless she has boxes. I also see built kits falling in value due to the number of reissues; Round 2, new Revell, Salvinos and now Atlantis.
  15. So the trikes will be dead on arrival? At $21, they'll sell at $28, I really hope HL carries them so I can use the coupon. If not I'll wait until they're worthless on eBay or shows.
  16. I saw a built up Mailbox at the Cincy show this spring. Great build. Since then I've been looking for one. I hope its priced appropriate. The Pyro reissue of the Honda Dream was dead on arrival for me when it was priced at the same price as a full car kit. Apparently I was not alone as this was one of hte kits HL blew out in their clearance sale. I remember the MPC chopper kits selling for about half of the price of a full car kit when MPC first issued them. The engine is very nice for its size. I fear if it has something like a $28 retail price this will be the only kit from the series produced.
  17. Every time I see the wood masters for various kits, I'm amazed at the quality of the craftsmanship.
  18. Concerning the Baldwin-Motion Vegas, unless Round2 makes major changes to make the kits more accurate, all you'd need to do is swap the rear tires. If Round2 keeps the Solar front seats those could be swapped out with a flat panel added to make it look like the rear seat was folded down. The MPC was far closer to a Baldwin-Motion street car than a tube framed pro stocker. Either way, I want a couple.
  19. I'm amazed the Vegas are seeing light of day. I do hope the grill and bumper get separated. The hood scoop looks interesting.
  20. Thanks for taking the lead on the NNL. While you're far from nameless, your efforts helped re-energize the hobby.
  21. A very personal type of self abuse.
  22. Toy may consider it crude, I consider it beautiful.
  23. Watching......I could be interested in a set.
  24. Use the Ford where you're steeling the wheels and maybe the tires.
  25. That's quite impressive.
