  1. In Knoxville, Tn. Walmart does not carry any modeling supplies, and has not in years. HL selection is sparse at best. We do have a Hobby Town. If you want something, say like any after market items, good luck. On line is the only way I know of in this area to buy any thing after market. So consider yourselves lucky if you can go to your lhs and get your stuff.
  2. You can find braided fishing line in several diameters, at Walmart. It is called Spider line, braided, as they make several types. The entire fishing line area can be a detail builders candy shop, been using is for years.
  3. All those years spent away from the hobby, I spent honing my modeling skills. Maybe some day I'll be able to build as nice as you. Mike
  4. and Ed Zink in Knoxville, Tn. managed to really get the power out of that small engine.
  5. Kool! Looks like it just rolled out of 77 Sunset Strip. With Kooki right behind.
  6. While the blocks were small,1.3 liters, they had hemispherical heads that Gordini messaged into a surprisingly quick motors. Drove a R8 Gordini. At Road Atlanta, I regularly hit 140/145, with basically the same motor.
  7. Oh no not another masterful build. I cant get anything done for looking and reading about all these wonderful master pieces of scale modeling. I really like the body work, and the engine is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Git the last of my Christmas presents today. My "Better Half" ordered me the Cal. Drag Combo. took from 10/04/20 till today. have not mastered posting pics, so I'll give a quick review. 3 separate bags of models Falcon, Galaxie, and tow trailer. The trailer has been realest several times. so there are no surprises. The "Falcon" and the Galaxie like wise have been released several times also. All are good starting points for really good models by adding details and painting. I'm stoked & by the time I finish them, maybe I'll have learned how to post pics.
  9. Had not seen this before, the guy talking about doing his Chevelle dash, is enough to get me to try. Thanks Ric
  10. Just found this. That is one Kool LSR. Powered by "COBRA"?
  11. Very interesting. Anytime you improve a Cheby with the addition of ford parts , is a good thing. Keep on keepin on!
  12. Really nice take on a custom. I really like the way you took the "dip" out of the door, I've not seen that done. Sweet!
  13. Most excellent duedlet. If he's already that good at 13, think about what he'll be like ay 23.
  14. Still watching, in total awe and respect. This is one masterpiece! Should be in the model hall of fame.
  15. Just started on the same kit. I'm going to do mine as a barn find. I'm real interested in your build, as I have followed your builds before, and I like the fact your not hesitant to try something out of your comfort zone.
  16. As people say where I come from, "you dun good".
  17. That is beautiful!!!!! The real one never looked that good. Seems a shame to for you to have use up valuable storage space, so I volunteer some of my unused space to you for storing the little red car:)
  18. What color did you use? Good choice, not typical. I really like the whole model.
  19. Really like the color combo!
  20. I spent 32 years servicing ATM's of every make and configuration. The brail, headphone jacks were not the banks nor the manufacturing company. the cause of both of those wonderful additives, was the federal government, and their laws re guarding handicapped persons.
  21. Learned to drive in a 1955 Plymouth Savoy 4 door. 3 on the tree with an overdrive, and a V8. don't remember what size. Took drivers test in a 1966 Oldsmobile 442 convertible with 3 duces. The officer asked me how long I'd been driving I said since I was 11, he said let's go get a milkshake and we did. By the way, I passed.
  22. GOT MY COPY Sat. My wife made me put it down and come to supper Sat. night. She made me put it down and come to bed. She told me she'd better not see it again for the rest of the weekend or she was going to see a lawyer. I'm still weighing my potions!
