Not sure how to rate 3D weather it is scratch building or not??? Like many things lots of variables. I got this 1/48 O scale Cass RR passenger car this week. It is just flat prints and needs LOTS of details added. It is a basic body that will be a lot different when I finish it. Where 3D fits in?? Not sure yet!

I count my blessings that I didn’t kill my entire family.

Sounds like you did everything right. Good thing you were there. Thank God it ended as it did. -
If anyone is excited about the 1/20 scale Toyota reissue I accept thinks via Paypal!!!!!! I wanted this kit for many years. It always sold WAY above my comfort level. BUT one day I found one missing wheels and tires for $25!!! I bought it knowing I'd never see it cheap again. I then bought a Tamiya 1/20 Porsche kit, much cheaper and used the wheels and tires to cast all new wheels and tires for my Toyota....being to cheap to junk the Porsche kit !!! So I spent a lot of time and money on RTV and resin.......THAT made a reissue a for sure!!!! I'll get one for sure!!! Thanks

I've built that kit showroom stock and the soft top version as a street rod. Looks like a good start......good luck! -
How well I know!!! My original Monogram Dragon Wagon went to China so it could be cloned into reissue 'Circus Wagon'. So if you have one....it's a copy of mine!!! Old tooling, if salvageable, is still cheaper than a clone new tool. Issue comes in when the tooling is missing so much a new tool is cheaper. That is why old tooling is looked at.....IN HOPE it's usable.

I have no isea what is in store from this new JoHan. This I do know for fact. Okey never had the resources buy/fix/run the abandoned JoHan tooling that is out there. Accurate Miniatures looked at the tooling, both the JoHan airplane and automotive kits, Never able to make a deal that could work. Moebius looked at the same tooling and passed at the price offered. Again I have no idea what these guys will do....but do not hold your breath for what old JoHan tooling that is out there floating around. I worked for all the above when this went down. thx

Very nice save on that one. I bought that kit back when it came out, I too saw it was nothing like the movie car. I just gave up and built it as a 'tuna' street car. It is such a odd kit for AMT.....nothing like anything they did before or after. Here is mine, hope you don't mind. thx BTW I bought the Fujimi EVO kit too yet to build

I am building this for my O scale train layout. Scratchbuilt from Plastruct materials, The complex will have about 10 models I will build on my bench then transfer them to the layout. Thanks for looking!!!

I do not have that kit....but the Japnese 1/25 scale kits of that era I do have are 1/28 and battery op with clunky details. Never seen in that box

While I do not understand the infatuation with this kit, other than being so rare, any new tooling is good thing. Why did they not use the new tool duster from a few years back?? Seems odd to start all over. I know that Duster had some window shape issue but do not recall major chassis/engine problems. Thanks

$24 to send a kit to my buddy in So Cal.......
