Good progress so far. You have my interest. What a wicked, fast car that was.

Should you end up with this second HP-CS, you could have one set up with the .35 needle and the other with the .5 needle. That way, no need to switch.

The interior is Tom's usual outstanding work. Look here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/105936-bmw-i8/

You have some great kits to choose from. Having some with Tamiya front forks is a bonus.

917s and 956s are my favourite Porsches. This looks to be a beauty.

I really like your non-shiny build. The flathead looks right at home.

I have a C-1 kit for the F12 Berlinetta. After seeing your amazing build, I better get the Fujimi kit soon. I really like the colour, and everything about your model.

Sweet Porsche build!

Well done. This truly does justice to a legendary Porsche.

Awesome build Robert. I really like the livery you chose and the cleanliness of build.

Stian, excellent additions to any model collection. How did you score that many Tamiya motorcycle kits?

Are model kits making a comeback? What gives?
Bill Eh? replied to ERIK88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My thinking was that the Pacific Rim market has remained pretty steady without a resurgence affect. I'm not positive, but haven't the armor and aircraft kit markets been pretty steady as well? The United States and Canada are definitely seeing this product offerings upswing, especially in relation to automotive model kits and aftermarket products. That was my thinking behind my original statement. -

I would agree if it was rephrased as,"Are car model kits making a comeback in North America?" -
You are making great progress. In no time you will be able to post it in the Under Glass section. Keep it going!

Jonathan, are you doing the boxart livery, or do you a set of aftermarket decals?

Thanks for the reply Pat. I need to work on making myself clearer when posting. Do the wheel arches and front splitter make up one kit and the Halibrand wheels and tires a separate kit?

Pat, nice score on the C1 kit(s). Do the wheels come in the Mustang kit, or are they a separate kit? I picked up three C1 kits at the NNL East back in April. Now I just need to get the actual donor kits. LOL

Thanks for posting Dale. I did not know that Beemax/Aoshima had gotten into the F-1 game. Would it be possible for you to take photos of the individual sprues inside their bags? I am assuming that there are not any Marlboros. Please tell me that it is 1/20. The old Protar 1/24 kit is a little soft in the detail department. In any event, another great addition for F-1 modellers.

Frank, when you do a limited run, how many wheel sets would that usually be? Or, does it depend on the wheel you are doing?
