  3. Very nice! I loved that movie - saw it when it came out in '68. Greatest chase scene ever! Good work on your model! Sam
  4. Very nice, Bruce! Great colors. The engine and interior details are really good! Great work! Sam
  5. Hey all, I just built this little camper from styrene sheets and some plywood and balsa. The sides are grooved siding sheet, and the curved top is .010" styrene over balsa spars. I used the trailer tongue, axle, and jack from the Revell midget racer trailer. Window frames are .080" styrene angle. Clear styrene windows have paper curtains printed from online. Propane bottle is the head from a Lego man. Parts box wheels (VW) and taillights. There's no interior detail (I'm lazy!). I plan to make a campground diorama to display this and two other teardrop models I made. This was a fun build, and I hope you like it! Under construction pic. Balsa spars.
  6. That's what I thought, too! Sam
  7. That engine looks great! Good job on the wiring! Sam
  8. That is really well done! Just enough weathering and dirtying up to make it look like it just came off the track after a race! Very nice model with lots of character. Great work! Sam
  9. That's looking very good, Gergo! Nice brick and shingle work, and the checkerboard floor is cool! Sam
  10. Thanks for the compliments, guys! I appreciate them. Here's a shot of the engine and interior during construction. I picked the green color for the body because it matched the green interior decals.
  11. Hey all, I just built this Revell 57 Ford Del Rio wagon with the police car option. Paint is Rustoleum hunter green, and the white is white primer with wet look clear sprayed over it. I bought a resin sheriff to stand beside it. He's talking to the folks at Dad's garage in the photos - looking for those punk kids and their noisy hot rods! The kit is nice to build - went together well. I added a license plate after the photos were shot. Comments are welcome.
  12. Great looking truck. Very creative design. Nice work! Sam

  15. Now that is cool! It has a 1961-ish vibe to it. Great work! Sam
  16. Very well done! Those black & white photos look like the car was in a 1950's movie! Nice work! Sam
  17. So cool! So many details to see. Tons of character in this model. I like the rusted out wheel wells and the bent rear bumper, among the other details. Great work! Sam
  18. Looks good! It's nice to see those AMC's being saved! Sam
  19. I had an Auto-Cutter, and used it successfully to open a few sets of doors on models, but you had to be careful, and work slowly, or it would overmelt the plastic, making a big mess! I remember using it to cut the front clips off a 58 Edsel and a 57 Ford, then grafting the Edsel clip to the Ford. I stopped building model cars in 1971, and used the cutter with a different tip as a soldering iron till about 2002! Sam
  20. Good looking truck, Harry! I like the colors. Some kits do put up a fight, but it looks like you won! Sam
  21. Very nice conversion! Looks factory. Eye-popping color - well done! Sam
  22. Very cool custom Corvair! I bet that exhaust would roar! 'Vairs were cool cars. My first car was a 65 Corvair convertible. Sam
  23. Very creative build! Are the treads from a tank model? Nice work! Sam
  24. Excellent build, as always, Tulio! Sam
  25. Nice rat! Great weathered finish, and lots of cool parts! Sam
