  1. What a cool photo! David G.
  2. It seems that you were able to reverse the assembly process without any damage. It's like I say. "Model builders, we're problem solvers who create our own problems to solve!" David G.
  3. A very cool model and a nice change of pace. I too like to flex my model building muscles with something outside the automotive universe on occasion. What' you've done so far looks great, I can't wait to see the finished pics. It is a shame about the rivets and lines though. David G.
  4. Oh yeah, I didn't think about the solder! David G.
  5. That's a cool looking red, it has a kind of bronze look to it. When first seeing this kit as you were working on it, my thought was that it was in some way related to the Mummy Machine. It does seem to have the same platform, just with different dress-up bits. As it turns out, I built a Mummy Machine last year and did a WIP on it. Here's a link if you're interested in comparing the similarities. Keep up the great work Ken, I look forward to seeing more. David G.
  6. Factory correct or not, it's still a pretty color. David G.
  7. Martin, I'm glad to see this one back on your bench! That embossing on the core panel is great! David G.
  8. The work you've done on the chassis looks rock-solid Dann. It looks like it's going to have a killer stance! David G.
  9. What an amazing set of models! ? David G.
  10. The screens turned out great Pierre, and the decals look fabulous so far. Your project is a fine example of what one can do to dress up a simple kit. David G.
  11. Excellent progress on this! It looks great in primer. David G.
  12. Cool little desk-top diorama with a neat story idea. Nice detail work on the plane, it looks great. David G.
  13. Nicely Done! David G.
  14. Thank you Atin, I'm glad to know that it was worth the effort. David G.
  15. Love the color and engine detail! Looks fantastic so far. David G.
  16. What a fun and quirky build. It's what I like to call "Delightfully Ridiculous". Excellent restoration work so far. David G.
  17. Smooth and shiny! David G.
  18. No worries Jürgen! There are a lot of Americans in this community and we do tend to go on about things, long past the point of reason sometimes. (He says as he makes his own contribution! ) This discussion has crossed into that zone, taken on a life of its own, and left you behind. It's no longer about you Jürgen, there's no need to take any of it personally. Just hang on and enjoy the ride, if you're so inclined. BTW, any of you can feel free to post photos to any of my threads as long as they're generally related to the subject matter. Thanks and regards to All, David G.
  19. I'm guessing that it sits so low because the engine weighs more than 2/3 of the entire rest of the car? Wild mock-up, it should look great when it's done. David G.
  20. The interior looks great Pierre! David G.
  21. What a fabulous set they will be! ? David G.
  22. Thank you so much for your kind words Adam! I do like to challenge myself with a few non-automotive builds every year. I see myself as a model builder who builds model cars, mostly. That's actually what I named my Facebook page, "Model Cars, Mostly". I've been working on uploading all of my builds there. I have about twenty builds posted there so far with many more to go. I've checked out your WordPress page and I've seen some of the amazing builds you've posted there. You have quite a wide variety of subjects, all of them very well done. Thanks again Adam for taking the time to comment, I appreciate that. David G.
  23. Thank you Chaz! Thanks Mathias! David G.
  24. Good vinyl look on the seats, nice engine weathering. David G.
  25. Tight detail work, that chassis is really coming together! David G.
