  1. Thank you Scott, I'm glad I went with blue instead of black. David G.
  2. The black & white interior really works well with the body color. The brake details look great. David G.
  3. The hose clamps look great as does the under-hood tubing. You should be able to remove the AWG stamp by using some lacquer thinner on a small cotton bud. David G.
  4. Great job on the wheels, a vast improvement. David G.
  5. Nice progress on this. I think the green will look great, maybe with some white accents. David G.
  6. Coming along nicely, the engine looks great. David G.
  7. Cool idea for the interior, the seats look wild. When I saw "New York Beetle" the first thing I imagined was a Beetle with a black & yellow taxi cab theme. David G.
  8. Nice steering wheel and boot. David G.
  9. Hello Everybody! I was able to get a few more photos together. Gotta love those tail fins! But there's not much trunk space. This photo does a pretty good job of showing the color though. Here's some interior detail. It's not easy to see here but I actually went to the trouble of making a cord for the phone's handset. Sorry for the dust all over the dashboard, we'll have to have a chat with Alfred later. The hood opens to show off the big block Ford engine in the simple yet functional engine bay. That's all for now. As always, thanks for taking the time to look. David G.
  10. Thank you Ken, I'm glad you like it. David G.
  11. I always liked the body design on these, the custom bits should make it interesting. David G.
  12. The blue will look great. Nice work on the wheels too. David G.
  13. Hello Everybody! Here's my latest addition to the Batman Universe. The DC Comics 1960's Batmobile by Polar Lights. This car is based on the Lincoln Futura Batmobile from the TV series in the Sixties which was designed by George Barris. In addition to the detailed scale model, figures for both Batman and Robin are included. For those who may be interested in how it all came together, I have a complete build thread in the WIP Section. And more photos of the completed model in the Under Glass Section. As always, thanks for taking a look. David G.
  14. Nice looking drag truck. David G.
  15. Stunning build! Paint, detail and assembly all look perfect. David G.
  16. Thank you Carl. Thanks Mario, I appreciate that. Thank you Chaz, it's kind of you to say so. David G.
  17. I thought that the first couple of images were your inspiration photos, until I realized that they were the actual diorama. ? Obviously, very convincing rust effects and a nicely composed scene overall! David G.
  18. Thank you David, I'm rather pleased with the way they turned out too. Thanks Ray, I appreciate it. Thank you Emre. I'm glad I went with the blue instead of black, I think it turned out much better. My cell phone camera took excellent photos until it was updated about a year after I purchased it. After the update, the colors and overall contrast seemed to be muted or flattened and it became difficult to get anything resembling a good photo. This has happened with the last two phones I owned and is what largely inspired me to get an actual digital camera. I think LG does this to goad their customers into "upgrading" to a newer model. I have to say that in spite of the learning curve of adapting to a digital camera, I'm much more pleased with the control I have over the image quality. I do miss the convenience of using my phone to take photos but I never know what the next update will bring as far as photographic quality. Best Regards, David G.
  19. Beautiful paint scheme! David G.

  21. Cool! Thank you Jim. Thank you Gustavo. David G.
  22. Nice work on the spreader bar, it does make a big difference visually. The engine is coming along nicely too. David G.
  23. I'm sorry to learn of your loss Darren, I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you. May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead. Still, awesome work on the Bug! It's a pleasure to see. thanks for posting it. David G.
  24. Hello Everybody! Here is the DC Comics 1960's Batmobile by Polar Lights. This car is based on the Lincoln Futura Batmobile from the TV series in the Sixties which was designed by George Barris. In addition to the detailed scale model, figures for both Batman and Robin are included. The kit directions call for the body to be painted gloss black but I chose Tamiya TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue. I think black would have been a little too intense. In comic books black is usually represented in shades of dark blue. The model in box illustration also appears to be dark blue. That's probably what set the image in my mind's eye. This car has a great profile and yes, those are valve stems on the wheels. Courtesy of Polar Lights. That's all for now. These photos are the best of about fifty that I took for the session. I want to play around with my camera settings a little more to see if I can obtain some better images. As always, thanks for taking a look and please feel free to comment. David G.
