My current 3 favorite paint jobs

Ok guys and gals, this will be my 2nd build for this CBP. Going to try and finish it up by the deadline, if not then I’ll still have the GTX finished. Depending on how this one turns out/gets finished I’ll make my decision on which one gets entered into the race. I am starting with 2 kits combined to make one. I know there are differences between the two and, it’s not being built as a bone stock fully restored ride, but more of a restomod that can be daily driven or fit right in at a car show. I’ll be using the body and associated parts from the Shelby GT500 kit and combining them with the chassis, interior, and running gear from the Revell 68 GT kit.

I’ll be watching this one ?

If this would be considered 25% then I would like to enter it as my 2nd build. Maybe I can finish it before the deadline. It’s in final mockup stage before any assembly has been started, no glue anywhere thus far.

I used Testors Xtreme Diamond Dust with their Wet Look clear.

Makes me miss a couple of Fox body coupes I’ve owned. My first was a 79 Ghia Coupe with factory 302/C4 auto, and my favorite was an 84 T-top Coupe that was a factory 302/4spd converted to a 351w and T5 5spd.

Here’s my finished build for the 2023 Cannonball Run community build event. It fought me every step of the way but I think it turned out pretty darn nice.

Ok calling it done. A few things I’m proud of and a few I’m not happy with but all in all I think it’s beautiful.

Only notable differences between the two bodies that I know of would be the hoods, exhausts, and the rear spoilers.

Sounds like I need to stick to wet look clear or Tamiya, and I probably just wasted $20 ??

Has anyone tried the 1K clear over decals? I have a build I’m wanting to try it on that I’ve applied Keith Marks decals on, but I don’t want to ruin a build. Anyone used it on a painted and decaled body?

Got the decals on, waiting to clear it. Hopefully tomorrow maybe I can shoot the clear on it and the matte clear on the interior.
