A big disappointment - been looking for the Charles Carpenter '55 kit for some time , found one still sealed and the shipper wrapped the kit in paper. It didnt travel well.

Minus forty one this morning and my wife's car started! Seat felt like a oak plank when I got in.

Out of 25 plus years of buying model kits off ebay - I got one. A kit wrapped with paper only and mailed from New York to Montana. A sealed OOP desirable kit at that. Box was mushed and a bonus hole in it from the abuse the USPS is known to dish out. I haven't been brave enough to break the seal and check contents.

Ok so I'm confused here, " the vendor is dropping support for screen names" does that mean our screen name will be replaced by our email or we getting assigned a number like in prison ? Ive been a member for 15 some years and never had any issues with my account, not once did anyone try taking credit for my mediocre models. Perhaps the hacking issue is from being able to use facebook to log in - you know what they say the more cooks in the kitchen .....

I use a hobby saw that takes blades like the old gillette razors for making lines through putty. The fine blade is forgiving . Attached is a pic of the internet - my saw pics always have a project in the background and I don't want to derail your thread. Disclaimer - I use regular auto body putty on my models..

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?

Local news for Billings Montana, a Postal worker employed at the package sorting facility was stealing sports cards. He boosted a collection then tried to sell it back to the store who had originally shipped it to another collector. Link provided for your reading enjoyment for this piece of excrement handling parcels. https://www.ktvq.com/news/crime-watch/ex-postal-worker-admits-to-stealing-mail-containing-sports-memorabilia-from-billings-facility -

Very nice Mike, too bad on the decals. I would look for some MicroScale Alphabet decals to finish it out. -
Got one of my most wanted in the mail today after a helpful forum member pointed me in the direction of it. Its in great shape assembly wise. Gust enough glue that parts have fallen off rather than fused forever. It is missing one radius rod for the front. If I cant source one I will scratch build a replacement. It will be cleaned up, rebuilt and hopefully I can find a set of decals also. On another note - I have figured out where all those resin wrinkle wall slicks Ive bought over the year originated from.. Welcome Bill, I transitioned to Semi trucks after building aircraft for years over on the FSM forum. You're in for a fun adventure, there is so much you can do with the truck kits especially since you remember trucks from back in the day. -
When the outside temps drop down into the negative , both heat registers in the living room has a cat camped out. My wife and I have to layer up as they steal all the heat.

What a great looking chopper - love what you did with the heads and cases. This kit was my first exposure to models. I was seven years old and my older brother was building it. All I remember was it was the coolest thing Id ever seen and him telling me at least 100 times "Hands Off" I really need to find this kit and build my own.

"cough cough" I think I caught your bug. After seeing this beautifully painted Charger - I ordered two of them. Mr Norms turned out great - that is one to be proud of. I had one of those gold sparkle helmets that came with the old '55 ex drag car I bought. I left with the car for the next owner.

Great job on getting rid of the "Lego shocks" that's exactly how I feel about a lot of chunky molded in pieces. Wooh the engine bay is tight, but it looks good sitting in there. ๐

I'm a fan of popsicle sticks with scotch double stick tape or use my clampy tweezers. -
My wife pulled in behind my truck last night. (not her usual parking spot) Negative twenty eight this morning and her car said"Heck No" when I went to start it. Cant let her use my truck as its blocked in. She can stay home and enjoy my entertainment for the day.
