  1. I'll just leave this right here.......
  2. The "Front Fender Flange Trim" maybe??
  3. This has also not been reissued since the Stevens International release in 2008.
  4. Add into that too the F-2575 for me. I could see that getting one of the plows and dump box from one of my Ford snowplow kits.
  5. You might be on to something there Anthony! I do remember from not only the 4070A but the Great Dane reefer I had as a kid, those wheels also had the fluted spacer molded in to the wheel, and digging through everything I have in my collection with a spoke wheel, none look as good as those ones. I even looked at an original Paystar logger and while the tractor has the 5 hole Budds as the dump truck and mixer versions, the trailer also had those Dayton wheels, but the newer reissue of the stand alone Peerless trailer has 5 hole Budds. As for if there were any difference in the hubs between the rear drives from the 4070A and the others and the trailer wheels, I don't know that because I have no drive wheels to compare the trailer wheels to, but if there isn't they have been around as recently as 2003 in the Great Dane extendable flatbed. The single wheel is from my Paystar logger and the unopened sprue is from the Great Dane, and I noticed this was also a Stevens International release, so it may very well be possible they at least have the molds for the wheels. The only reason I didn't really think the Daytons were an issue is I really don't care for spoke wheels. Sure, they have their place for workhorses and I do use them for trailers or as drive wheels on trucks like a Mack R and in fact, I had to find a set of spoke wheels for my early 2000s reissue if the R model because it was the one that only included Alcoas and I wanted the Alcoas on the steers but spokes on the drives since it will be hauling a lowboy. I guess we will just agree to disagree, because not only with the W925 but other kits in the automotive realm that have been said not to have parts in them since original issues because the molds have been said to have been lost, missing, or destroyed, but they have returned also.
  6. I'm not sure on the Airfix, but the Command/Service module was a 1/32 scale Monogram kit originally and I believe reissued under the Revell name. AMT also did a Saturn V rocket that is included in the "Man in Space" 1/200th scale 5 rocket set reissued not long ago that also includes a simple Apollo command and service module as well as a stowed LEM to be stacked on top of the Saturn V.
  7. As I and a few others have said, that has been said about other kits too, specifically the W925 that had its cab retooled into the T600A. The W925 was brought back with the aid of the lost tooling being remade, and if the headlights, air suspension, and no turbo on the engine are the only differences, I don't see why Round 2 couldn't do the same for the 4070A that they have done for the Kenworth. I purposely left out the Dayton wheels because of the fact there are many kits that have them, so they shouldn't be a factor. Also learning about the air suspension, it does make me remember it was a 4070A that I had as an early teenager because it was my first attempt at a conversion because of the air suspension made cutting the back of the frame off to make it a single axle an easy conversion. The plan that never did make it past the cutting stage was to make it a single axle workhorse similar to what many of the LTL companies ran in my youth. Personally, I'd like to see both versions make a return to the shelves again.
  8. That was what they said about the W925 Kenworth cab too, but it has came back from the dead. I can't remember if it was the 4070a or the Transtar Eagle II I had as a kid, but what would be the major differences between the two? Even if the molds for the 4070a are long gone, if it shared common parts with the Transtar Eagle II or even the 4300 Transtar conventional, those molds ARE still around. Couldn't it be possible as with the Kenworth to make new molds for the missing parts of the 4070 and use the existing molds for the (if any) common parts the 4070a shared with the other two kits?
  9. Especially since one is fiction and the other is fact!
  10. Actually, and Chris I'm sorry for pointing this out to you because your build looks great, but Casey look a little harder at the FIRST part of step #6. Even in the older kits, this has been a trick to make the old tires with the lettering face in the proper direction, you just either had to remove the molded in lettering or live with "Ground Hawg" only being on the driver's side. Now with no lettering Revell finally suggests removing the inner webbing to fix their mistake of not having the tires correct years ago.
  11. I'm happy to see that the "Ground Hawg" lettering is gone to finally fix the tires so that they can be mounted correctly without one side having sidewall lettering and the other not without having to remove the molded in lettering. I'm disappointed in the guns molded to the rifle rack though, the shotgun would be useful in police cars and in my case, as a shifter for some of my custom big rigs.
  12. Maybe from your printer? All you would need to do is edit the size and print it on a piece of paper. After you do a test print or two and get the size to what you want if you want it a little thicker than just on normal paper, print the finished edit on cardstock paper or photo paper.
  13. Thanks for the info KJ, I noticed the gold emblems on the earlier episodes I've been watching (Hulu has them marked as season 1 but I believe they were actually seasons 1 & 2 since there were 22 episodes in "Season 1") and the later episodes have the chromed emblems. Even though I know it doesn't have the correct torsion bar suspension I seen in a couple of episodes, I'm going to use this for Sonny's truck. By the way KJ, do you happen to make any 1/16th scale parts, especially tires and wheels?
  14. They could always be monster truck food!
  15. Honestly because of all the PC bull that has now turned the kit into just another Dodge Charger, the simple answer is no. Even before all the PC police got on their little bandwagon, the only reason I bought one of the post F&F kits after the window was changed was for the decals so I could use them on a Revell Charger after smoothing the molded in vinyl roof.
  16. While it does appear at least in the first pic Snowman's truck does have a gold hood emblem according to IMCDB (Internet Movie Cars Database), the truck was not a 73 but a 72. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_10238-Kenworth-W-900-A.html On a semi (no pun intended) related note though the question pertains to another famous W900 and also to the gold emblems, I have notice binge watching "Movin On" that ALL of the Kenworth emblems are gold, the front hood emblem and also all the Kenworth scripts on the side of the hood and sleeper. Also, according to IMCDB, it was a 74 W900 VIT. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=42128&l=de Were all the gold emblems on this because of the 50th anniversary as mentioned or was it because the truck was done with the VIT trim?
  17. There are models of the Edmond Fitzgerald.
  18. I think it was an attempt at humor since today's date is 1/25 and those companies mainly produce 1/25th scale kits that this should be "Model Day" or something. Of course, it could also be "Scale Haters Day" for those who think all models should be 1/25th scale, since I don't remember seeing anything like this on 1/4, 1/6, 1/9, 1/12, 1/16, 1/20, or 1/24 and I'm sure 1/28 will get no love either.
  19. Ever hear of the "DO NOT CALL" list? I have my number on it and never have to worry about annoying sales calls.
