  1. Shorts and flip flops in Alberta? We got a good 6" of snow today. Spent an hour out with the snowblower. Of course for me it has to be 24 degrees before I would worry about shorts or sandals. ?
  2. David, unfortunately there is no "best choice". An airbrush is like any tool. It's what you get comfortable with. A lot of people over time end up with 2 or more airbrushes depending on what they're using them for, what they find comfortable to use etc. Some like the front trigger styles while others like the top control. People do great work with a Paasche H which is a simple single action suction airbrush. Others prefer the more complicated but more versatile gravity feed double action brushes. Suction feeds need slightly more air pressure to draw up the paint. If you're just starting a Paasche H would be a great place to start and guys like Donn Yost & Doctor Cranky still use them in their work.
  3. New items? Care to share?
  4. Apparently Friday the 13th was a bad omen! ?Sad for the Revell USA employees . Terminated with no notice so it would seem.
  5. Looking forward to as usual. Always a great time. Day goes by really quick between shopping, talking to folks and admiring and taking pictures of as many of the great models as I can.
  6. That's what I thought. I remembered that Chevy sedan as having a bad engine or something and that's why he eventually ended up with the convertible.
  7. I can still see Lumpy drumming on his steering wheel going zooma zooma zooma.... Didn't Wally end up with a ratty 53 or 54 Chevy convertible?
  8. Yep! Can hardly wait. Hope to see you there.
  9. O.K. I'm confused. So the auction resumes for a day until hearing on Friday? Or am I miss understanding this (which is entirely possible....)?
  10. Friday the 13th? That's not a good sign.....
  11. Walked into a meeting on Saturday night and the first thing out of one guy's mouth? "Well that's it. Revell's done." Ummm no it isn't the decision won't be made until the 10th. "No, no one bid on them. They're done for." Oh for blah, blah blah's sake! We won't know until the 10th!!!! Then the decision will be rendered. And on and on. Look forward to the resolution on the 10th.
  12. The acrylic paint can be thinned with windshield washer fluid or rubbing alcohol.
  13. Great little Fiat! Amazing the difference between the classic and the modern.
  14. Two beautiful Model A Fordor Sedans at least one of which (if not both) is a late 31 Slant Windshield Town Sedan.
  15. Still hoping it shows up here soon. On March 21st I heard from another Ontario dweller that he had received his so I'm really hoping mine shows up this week.
  16. Interesting. So quick shipping and no problem with shipping here to Canada? I'd say worth a look.
  17. I'm sure I read somewhere that he was starting a business to create aftermarket & restoration parts for F100's.
  18. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-2oZcVToYA&t=1s Gravity Colors responses are in the comments.
  19. As I understand it from comments made by him on a YouTube video, Gravity website sales will be put on hold April 1st so they can catch up on orders. I think this has turned into something much bigger than he expected. Hopefully he can get this sorted because as I understand it he has a great product that I would certainly like to try it some day.
  20. Don't have to start rumours. It's already been rumoured that both Volkswagen and Mercedes have been checking things out around Nascar.
  21. Hi Ken, You may want to get Hobby Centre to change the date on the website as it is stating the wrong date. Says 15th versus 22nd.
  22. Great! Thanks for the info, Tom.
  23. Does that mean that Scale Motorsports will not be at NNL East?
  24. That's why they call it the Polyglas Gasser II because it is not the original Bonneville but rather the later (90's) issue Catalina.
  25. Doug S is a member of Group 25 and TAPS. Randy Frost has Dailey Hobbies on Thickson in Oshawa and as Ken said Dave E.passed a few years ago. Don't know about the others.
