Thanks for the extra pics. I see you also made the water piping for the top of the head to the radiator on the Model T.

Great builds, Phil! I also love the TROG cars. Back to the early days of hot rodding. I'm actually working on the same thing right now. A Model T phaeton, A roadster and maybe A pick up. Any more pictures of your builds?

Old blade disposal?
peter31a replied to Earl Marischal's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
What Modelbuilder Mark said. Casey, not approved for our recycling bins around here. Ken, I'd have to pay $5.00 to park to do that. -
There were a whole bunch of "What If the kit manufacturers made these models" kit boxes done by someone back in the 90's/early 2000's. It was just for fun. I'm sure at the time no one thought in 10-20 years people surfing the web would be finding these pics and think they were real kits. There were boxes for the 55 Buick from Highway Patrol, the 67 Galaxie from Car Salesmen (?) etc.

Bob usually recommends medium temp lacquer thinner. It will need to be thinned 100% or more. You will need to experiment some with a spare body or spoons. Of course automotive primer will need to be laid down first.

Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction

Actually I've been watching all week and Steve and Mike have mentioned model kits available of certain cars quite a bit. I believe Steve even mentioned the new Bronco kit at one point. I've noticed a couple of wrong references to kit manufacturer but when you're trying to get facts out that fast it's bound to happen. -
Replicas & Miniatures Co. Of Maryland

Pete has a valid point. There is also this. Even without a website or pics or a Facebook page, Norm is kept extremely busy and has not attended events as a vendor since he was so far behind in fulfilling orders that he felt it wasn't fair to vend at a show when he had customers waiting a couple of months for orders. If you're that busy already without it, who needs a website? -
Ford Flip Nose Pickup
peter31a replied to Dave42's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Looks pretty cool to me. Not sure exactly what colour it is due to lighting though. Is it purple or grey? -
James, what is that C1 pickup trans kit for? Can't quite read it. Thanks.

Beautiful work on the 30 Ford Coupe. Love the 6 cyl in there. By decals I assume you mean on the tires?

Goes to show what I know. I just went by the fact that there is a ton of cool stuff that the manufacturers do that never make it to our shores. This seemed like one of them. Very cool little car.

Very cool looking little car. I doubt we'll see them this side of the Atlantic though.

Geez, I couldn't get out of grocery shopping while I was working, I sure can't get out of it now. The one downside is that I have not been disciplined enough to keep with an exercise routine. That will be number one New Years resolution. I was always relatively disciplined at work but I'm like a cranky old teenager now not wanting to do things I don't want to do. I acknowledge that that has to change come the new year when the novelty of being retired has worn off. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who's content to sit 16 hours a day and then go to bed. For my own good that needs to change.

Being the unmanly emotional type the last day was hard. But I haven't missed it since. As I sit here the wind is howling and I can't see the neighbours house for the snow blowing by and I DON'T HAVE TO GO OUT IN IT! It's beautiful! There are weeks where I don't leave the house. It's great! No, go here, do that and what took you so long etc etc. I love it!

Every contest is different, Mark but coatings are allowed so I would thinking tinting chrome would be alright. Sanding the tires would pretty much be expected I would think as it's all part of doing a clean build.

Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?
peter31a replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nope, it was too bad so sad, old timer. (The poor kid didn't say that but that was basically the message. No smart phone, no coupon.) -
Revell 30 Model A Ford Production Halted?
peter31a replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
On Tuesday, I tried to use a coupon from Michaels that I received when I purchased something the previous Saturday. The kid on cash handed it back to me saying "This doesn't start until Friday but you can get one off your phone for today." I said "I just have a flip phone." He looked at me like I was some kind of neanderthal they found frozen in the arctic. Needless to say I had to pay full price. -
What did you see on the road today?
peter31a replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Now, Tom did you actually see this vehicle going down the road? I don't think it's fair to say you saw it on the road today if you were the one actually driving it. -
With that billboard going from the roof to the rear wing I bet they'll be interesting to drive on a windy day.

Cool little racing Datsun!

Not paying more to watch this show. Don't care how much I like the 3 hosts. Same with CBS Star Trek Discovery. Put it on Cable or free on YouTube. I'm not paying for every show I want to watch when I'm already paying through the nose for satellite. I wish them the best and It appears there are enough people willing to pay to watch it but they would have a bigger audience if it was on regular t.v.
