  1. Love the idea. Will be watching.
  2. Wow super nice work. The parts you changed really improve the model.
  3. Personally the Corvette has done nothing for me since that were copying the look of the Ferrari Modena. To me Corvette has turned into the poor man's Ferrari. In fact once day out driving I saw at first what I thought was a Corvette but realized it was a silver Ferrari Modena.
  4. Cool. It was great that you saw them and recognized them. Some great modeling history. Thanks for preserving it.
  5. One thing that neds to be taken into consideration the older toolong was designed to support one version of a kit. If that was to be changed then that tooling had to be irreversiblly modified. Newer tooling Revell 32 fords, 57 checy , and 57 ford were all designed to allow different versions by changing the body segment of the tooling. The multiple version tooling is a necessity becuse of the much lower volumes being produced.
  6. Wow very nice work so far. Great concept.
  7. Looks like we are close to getting enough for round 3. Snake are you going to srart another thread or use this one.
  8. Dan if you do another shifter or some other project please do a wip. Would love to see your process for building one.
  9. Amazing. How many pieces does it have? Talk about treating every part of a model as a model..
  10. Cool project. Looking forward to seeing it done.
  11. Ok I'm in for round 3. My candidate is an AMT chopped 5 window 32 ford. This is about 15 years old. All that remained from the original project was the body, fenders, and modified frame. Parts added to finish up are AMT 32 roadster grill shell, radiator, and grill insert. Interior will be from fantom vicky. Rear is from wagon rod. Still need to make decision on front axle. Have a flat head from an AMT 50 Ford convertible. Still a few more parts choices. Looking forward to getting another done.
  12. I was a victim of cosmic april fools joke. Went to leave and garage door won't open. Nether hand remote or wall control work. Check breaker and its ok. Use the release and get car out of garage and check opener no loose wires. Pull out manual and opener was bought in 2010 and of course out of warrenty. Take run to do errands and store opener was bought. Wanted to know if parts were available and to get some ideas on what else to check. Turned out plugs in garage are on the ground fault circuit in bathroom and that was tripped. Hurray for a happy ending. That ground fault hasn't tripped in 10 years which is why I totally forgot. Just had to happen today.
  13. I have at least 100+ unfinished projects. Wide range of completion. Maybe we need to create a support group.
  14. Nice work on the vette Snake. I've had a few fight me every inch 8f the way and it really sucks the fun out of it. Hopefully you next project won't be so much trouble. Congrats to all that finished. Looking forward to round 3. Lets make 219 the gottem done year!
  15. Ok finally wrapped this one up. Will do a clean up on the bench. Then find a suitable subject for round 3.
  16. Ok got some bench time and got more done. One more session and I will be done. Heres a couple progress photos.
  17. I agree I dont believe that there would be enough sold to make it happen. 1/64th diecast work because a much larger volume can be produced. Second the cost to do a 1/64th diecast is a lot less than doing a plastic kit. Third the cost of licensing can be spread out over a much larger volume.
  18. First unless he is misrepresenting the kit he has the right to sell it at whatever price he wants. If a seller doesn't check for prices on the item it is their fault.
  19. Nice work. Although this car wasn't successful it was innovative. Unfortunately today there is nothing very innovative done. Nobody can afford to fail because of the mega sponsorships required to be competitive.
  20. Ok this was a paint experiment with my air brush. It was painted about 15 years ago and then put back in the box. Today got engine, seat, and a few other miscellaneous parts painted. Interior was installed and engine installed. This is where it is as of Friday. Will take a couple more hours to wrap up tomorrow. Also need to work on getting some better pictures. Got a new camera need to spend some time with it. Had to use my tablet which does not do very good pictures. Hopefully there will be another round of completing stalled projects.
  21. Nice start. What did you do to relocate the rear wheel wells?
