  1. I don't understand why going back to 9 issues is even being considered. At this point stick with 6. If that is successful then maybe 9. Sort of expecting to build a contest quality model and you've never build a model before. Would also be nice to get an update. Last update on magazine page is Jan 21. An official statement about the lifetime subscribe status would be nice.
  2. Coming along nicely.
  3. Nice. Came out great. Like the blue paint.
  4. Another option would be an insulated cooler.
  5. I simply do not answer unsolicited phone calls. One if you answer then it flags its an active line. Two, some of the scams try to get you to respond in a certain way. For example they will ask you if they can be heard to get you to say yes and then sign you up for something. Its safer to not answer. Most robo calls don't leave messages. If there is a message don't auto dial back. If its your bank call back on a number you know is legit. Same goes for emails. If no message I will check the number online however with the fake numbers nothing shows up normally. I block those phone numbers. The big ploy of all of the scams is to panic you into acting. There is always an urgency that you respond immediately. Your mantra should be to never give any information out regardless of how urgent the situation may seem.
  6. Dang. Just realized only 5 months left. Where has the year gone? Have to get it going.
  7. Really nice. I like the shot of the pickup and the porsche. Nice job on the diorama and the figure. Definitely a fun what if. One of the joys of modeling being able to do fantasy projects.
  8. Shout out to Snake on starting this thread. Think we all have projects that have stalled for one reason or another. Its nice to get a push to finishing up those projects.
  9. Snake interesting idea painting the front pods. If you do something similar you might think of of using a dark metallic gray , same effect but not quite as stark contrast. Riv came out very nice.
  10. Wow. What a beauty. Glad to see this one done. It really deserves been finished on the shelf and not have done in the box.
  11. Looking good. Nice color combination. Progressing nicely.
  12. Looks pretty good to me. Definitely looks like a barracuda.
  13. First off congrats to all that have finished. Unfortunately. I didn't make the deadline but did manage some significant progress. In fact the primary reason this projext stalled was coming up with an interior. Chassis rear axle is from wagon rod which has been narrowed. Modified Front axle from Revell 32 Ford. Wheels and tires from revell 29 pickup rat rod. Engine flathead from Amt 41 woody. Interior seat from parts box and cut down dash also from parts box. Have templates for interior for door panels I plan to match the pattern from the seats. Firewall is from Revell 32 ford. A few more things to wrap up and then on to paint. Will finish this up for next round. Have a second project a johan maverick done as a tribute to Hank Borgers angry man pro stock which needs painting and detailing. Good luck to all who are trying to drag their projects over the finish line
  14. Mt two cents. First this is why future kits need to be done with 3d scanning. Unfortunately when the previous variant was created scanning was not an option. With the low volumes for kits these days there is simply not the money to tweak a kit to get it right. This leads to the compromises in the final product. For those that feel the need to fix these issues great. I'd rather just build it than agonizingly over things that a majority are never going to notice.
  15. Nice start. Cool project.
  16. Wow what an interesting 1:1 project. What do you have in mind for the body?
  17. Cool project. Not that many tbirds customized. Nice start.
  18. I'm happy I'm back on the bench after more that 2 months. Back in April started the month off with a bad cold which took several weeks to get rid of. Started getting caught up on things and then allergies started up big time. Worse I've ever had and I was having major problems breathing. It was so bad I went to my cardiologist to make sure I wasn't having another heart attack. I wasn't but he gave me a referral to a pulmonary doctor. End result was a diagnosis of moderate COPD most likely caused by smoking a pipe and cigars in my younger days. New meds are helping and things are back on track.
  19. I've made some progress but not as much as I would have liked. Have not gotten any bench time due to health issues. However I am now back on the bench. I got a modified AMT wagon rod rear axle install on rear of chassis and am using a Monogram 32 ford front axle. The last two days I have been working on the interior and have made significant progress. This was major progress because that was what stalled this project. Will provide pictures when I get a chance. Will continue to drag this one to completion. If I can get the remainng fabrication done by the end of the month I will be happy.
  20. Great color combo. The two tone nicely with the orange parts. Nice work on the engine. Coming along nicely..
  21. Love it. The changes really make a big difference.
  22. Glad to see this back on the bench. Very cool project.
  23. Selling has never been allowed. Gregg created emodelcars as a separate entity for selling. However very few used it. You want to sell use ebay or facebook or craiglist.
  24. More trouble than what little revenue that would be generated. Would rather see premium content. Gregg has also talked about online access to all back issues.
