  1. I think its cool but don't expect everyone to like it. Definitely an off the the wall art piece. Lots of detail work.
  2. Superclean. Great color.
  3. Yeah have to agree. Decals would be the way to go. The cane is woven over and under and there is really no way to replicate that with paint.
  4. Nice paint work. Definitely an eighth scale car worth the money. Curious is a kit or a built diecast. What is the price?
  5. Nicely done.
  6. Definitely shades of Ed Roth. Definitely you either love it or hate but that is not uncommon with some automotive subjects.
  7. My final comments on the matter. Paul has invested over 200 hours in creating a master for this product. His goal is not to sell hundreds or thousands of copies. He has paid a resin caster to produce the molds(molds with a limited life to produce copies) in addition he has a cost per unit for manufacturer. His goal is to recover that investment and a modest profit. The limited life of the mold means that cost for the molds has to be paid again when their usefulness is over. Which means selling more units is not to his advantage.
  8. Nice work. Clean job assembling the frame.
  9. Looking good. Nice start.
  10. Absolutely amazing model. Love the subject matter. Great job on the wire wheels.
  11. Amazing. Again you continue to dictate how Paul should run his business. And then you justify why somebody has the right to steal his hard work. Nobody wins with recasts. More then likely the one who has put the effort in creating the original ceases to produce any more original works which deprives those who would buy. The intentional or unintentional(has no knowledge of the original producer) buyer of the recast gets a substandard product. A lose lose proposition for all.
  12. I agree with Tom. What Pauls cost is immaterial. He has stated that his reasons for using the auction format. There are tools for setting what your maximum bid is on ebay. The only way you are going to exceed that is if you change that. In my opinion much ado about nothing!
  13. Personally for are those who feel that they have the right to dictate how Paul should run his business it would serve you right if he didn't decide that producing these models is more hassle than its worth. I seriously doubt he getting rich doing this and it sounds like he's doing it to provide subjects that have not been produced by the mainstream companies.
  14. Nice start. Like the changes you've made.
  15. All I can say is if I would spend almost $1600 hundred dollars the model should look like the real deal. That photo of the model screams model to me. It would take a lot of work to make it look right in my opinion and I shouldn't have to do a lot of work to make a price with a hefty price tag look right.
  16. What a mess. Hope you made it through unscathed other than a wounded wallet. Hope you can rebuild it.
  17. What pleased me today is I got up this morning. 5 years ago I woke up in the hospital having suffered c a heart attack the day before 8/4 around 8 am. In the same time period my sister and husband had one friend that died from a heart attack and the other suffered a massive stroke. It made me appreciate life. Fast forward to today. My sister and husband got a call that another friend passed on Friday from a heart attack. I have learned to appreciate every day. You never know how long you have. Don't waste your precious time.
  18. You need to make sure that your old laptop has enough memory and hard drive space for windows 10. Having worked with with computers I'm not a big fan of windows 10 or Microsoft. I have an xp that is no longer used on the web. And a windows vista now using Ubuntu Linux for surfing on the web. I also dislike windows because new windows upgrades usually means hardware upgrade because of all of the added bells and whistles.
  19. Round2 has done new kits but (Sci Fi) star trek for one. Much bigger buying audience which makes it easier to get a good return. As far as automotive they are cleaning up old tooling and doing tires and new decals. Really don't see them investing in new automotive tooling.
  20. Nice start. Definitely will be following.
