  1. Wouldn't be box stock because of the wheel change.
  2. There may be some people that have had success using rustoleum however there are a lot of people who don't. One is still better off with starting with hobby paints. Automotive paints are also an option but if used improperly you can ruin a kit easily with crazing. Lately there seems to be more people having paint issues because of mixing paint types and using Rustoleum. If your goal is to save money buy airbrush as there is less waste. Takes a bit of work to cleanup but you can get great results.
  3. Doing what's right may not be the easiest path but you know you've done the right thing.
  4. Channel your energy by doing positive things for a more rewarding life.
  5. Rustoleum is only good for painting lawn furniture. Hobby paints are the most drama free. Automotive paints work great also. Don't mix brands or types of paint. The money saved by trying use the wrong paint is not reliable or worth the aggravation
  6. Glad you brought to light the interior door line issue. First time I'd heard about it. Your 32 is coming along nicely.

  9. Yeah that was discussed a while back. Unfortunately the posting of members we've lost and other notable models gets lost on the board. Unfortunately more attention is paid to celebrity deaths than model builders for the most part.
  10. A couple of points. First the Demon was MPC where as the duster was AMT. At the time the market was totally different. Second although the cost of kits make it expensive to buy two get get a more detailed demon it still beats spending a hundred or more for the Demon plus the current cost for a duster kit. Besides the duster body could be traded off or used to kitbash another project. There's no reason to throw it away.
  11. Glad to see this coming back. WAnt to see that sweet had rod in the background finished also.
  12. Coming along nicely.
  13. Well it's been more than 6 months since this was announced. The ideal place to kick this off would have been the nnleast. I have to think that he doesn't have the money to make any of the Powell kits. Unfortunately this looks like a lot of wishful thinking at this point.
  14. Because there is no practical way to do it. As stated round2 would have to run both kits for the parts. Second newer tooling has has been designed for swapping out inserts. If the duster parts have to modified to work for the demon then the tooling wouldn't work for the duster anymore. And I can just image the uproar if the builder would have to modify the parts themselves. That's not something everyone would want to do or be capable of. The best option is buying a duster and demon kit and kit bash your own. As far as the duster body and interior you could either trade it or maybe build a drag car or prostrate or protruding from it. Also recreating and modifying the duster tooling would be costly. Tooling is one of the more expensive parts for a kit.
  15. Looking good. With it being in one color it is easy to see the concept.
  16. Exactly. The question is who is the target market for a particular kit. Will spending more money on developing a more detailed kit be justified by the possible increase in sales or will that money be better spent on another project that will generate more revenue. There is only so much money to be spent and it has to be done with the best return in mind.
  17. The question round 2 has to ask is will spending the money to implement a more detailed kit increase the kits sales to offset the substantial increased cost. It's just v that simple.
  18. Tull is nonsense or hogwash.
  19. Three little pigs houses were built from straw, twigs, and bricks.
  20. Shoes are slang for car tires.
  21. When that little voice says something doesn't seem right it's best to take notice. Otherwise you're bound to regret it and asking why didn't I pay attention to that feeling.
